Interesting fact: When that one guy who shocked the little dinosaur (Compsognathus) got lost and was attacked by a group of them, the dinosaurs were puppets. And when one of them was biting his lip, that puppet had a piece of material in its mouth that it was rubbing on his lip to make it look like it was really being grabbed and moved around. Also, the gun the hunter was carrying that looked like a shotgun? It wasn't a shotgun. It was a double-barreled elephant gun. They're rifles that fire very large bullets and are used for big-game hunting.

So just a bit of information on the ‘Five Deaths’ bit at 8:42. They are called the Muertes Archipelago or Las Cinco Muertes. They are located of the coast of Costa Rica. They are named as such because of an old Native American myth where a warrior was given the choice of five different execution methods and he chose the five islands on whitch he was Burned, Drowned, Crushed, Hanged, and finally beheaded. Isla Matancerose, Isla Muerta, Isla Pena, Isla Sorna, and Isla Tacaño. The islands are said to be cursed for the myth. InGen purchased the archipelago from the Cosat Rica government under 99 year lease back in the 1980s including the outlying Isla Nublar which was 80 miles east of the island chain.

"The compies didn't look dangerous at first sight. They were the size of a hen and walked nervously like a hen. But he (John Hammond) knew that they were venomous. Their bites delivered a slow-acting poison that they used to kill wounded animals. small theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic Period, about 222 to 219 million years ago. Procompsognathus was named by Eberhard Fraas in 1913. He named the type species, P. triassicus, on the basis of a poorly-preserved skeleton found in Württemberg, Germany. Procompsognathus may have been about 1.2 meters long (4 feet). A biped, it had long hind legs, short arms, large clawed hands, a long slender snout with many small teeth, and a stiff tail. It lived in a relatively dry, inland environment and may have eaten insects, lizards, and other small prey. Plus, they travel in packs and the more bites the worse it gets.

Just makes me think why Hammond? They serve zero purpose as Park Attractions almost worse then a T Rex and atleast the T Rex could make money
@Tanx338 ай бұрын
@@jeambeam3173 in the book they were bred because the spores(aka giant dino crap) of the large herbivores could not be broken down by modern bacteria(the bacteria responsible for breaking down their spores is long extinct). basically they were the dung beetles of Jurassic Park. they were scavengers and would eat droppings of larger dinos. They would eat the dino spore from herbivores and current bacteria was able to break down the spore of the dinos that were carnivores and omnivores. without them the park would have been covered in giant piles of crap or they would have had to have constant trains of dump trucks hauling the stuff away. this is also why they made so many of them. they were also not aware at the time that they were mildly venomous and the bite would cause symptoms similar to encephalitis. they were also one of the species with frog DNA and reproduced quite rapidly and in the first book and escaped from the island on supply boats. that scene at the beginning of the movie also happened at the start of the first book, but instead of Sorna it happened on a beach called Cabo Blanco on Costa Rica mainland. also they killed a newborn baby on the mainland. Also book Hammond very much regrets making them ;p

Predators had their growth limits and herbivores had theirs. Sauropods were so big for many reasons. Some examples include large guts for the plant matter because they couldn't chew their food but swallowed stones to grind it in order to digest. They also had hollow bones which allowed air to pass through, and it also made them weigh less despite their size. All dinosaur bones were hollow and ours aren't. We'd probably break our bones from our own weight if we were that big and wouldn't move much during the day because of all the internal heat in our bodies.

Besides, if the raptors were as well on the city, the movie would have lasted longer, and the T-Rex part wouldn't be the biggest and impressive thing on the final part of the movie, but rather dealing with the raptors after that, so on the one hand, it makes the movie better, but in the other it leaves a plot hole larger than my depression, but not anything we couldn't let through at that time.

The novels and movies are truly completely different. Because if they were the same Hammond would’ve died in the first film like he did in the novel. The canon setting of the film’s basically just built off the novels, we are missing multiple characters from them and they basically retconned a lot from them.
