Interesting fact: When that one guy who shocked the little dinosaur (Compsognathus) got lost and was attacked by a group of them, the dinosaurs were puppets. And when one of them was biting his lip, that puppet had a piece of material in its mouth that it was rubbing on his lip to make it look like it was really being grabbed and moved around. Also, the gun the hunter was carrying that looked like a shotgun? It wasn't a shotgun. It was a double-barreled elephant gun. They're rifles that fire very large bullets and are used for big-game hunting.

Actually, its only one more time Isla Sorna is Site B and you only see it in Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 that's if you don't include the games. There are two islands of dinosaurs the first movie Jurassic Park and Jurassic Worlds take place on Isla Nublar. Isla Sorna was where all the dinosaurs were first incubated and tested before some of them were transported over to Isla Nublar which became Jurassic Park.

So just a bit of information on the ‘Five Deaths’ bit at 8:42. They are called the Muertes Archipelago or Las Cinco Muertes. They are located of the coast of Costa Rica. They are named as such because of an old Native American myth where a warrior was given the choice of five different execution methods and he chose the five islands on whitch he was Burned, Drowned, Crushed, Hanged, and finally beheaded. Isla Matancerose, Isla Muerta, Isla Pena, Isla Sorna, and Isla Tacaño. The islands are said to be cursed for the myth. InGen purchased the archipelago from the Cosat Rica government under 99 year lease back in the 1980s including the outlying Isla Nublar which was 80 miles east of the island chain.

"The compies didn't look dangerous at first sight. They were the size of a hen and walked nervously like a hen. But he (John Hammond) knew that they were venomous. Their bites delivered a slow-acting poison that they used to kill wounded animals. small theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic Period, about 222 to 219 million years ago. Procompsognathus was named by Eberhard Fraas in 1913. He named the type species, P. triassicus, on the basis of a poorly-preserved skeleton found in Württemberg, Germany. Procompsognathus may have been about 1.2 meters long (4 feet). A biped, it had long hind legs, short arms, large clawed hands, a long slender snout with many small teeth, and a stiff tail. It lived in a relatively dry, inland environment and may have eaten insects, lizards, and other small prey. Plus, they travel in packs and the more bites the worse it gets.

@Tanx33 8 ай бұрын
@@jeambeam3173 in the book they were bred because the spores(aka giant dino crap) of the large herbivores could not be broken down by modern bacteria(the bacteria responsible for breaking down their spores is long extinct). basically they were the dung beetles of Jurassic Park. they were scavengers and would eat droppings of larger dinos. They would eat the dino spore from herbivores and current bacteria was able to break down the spore of the dinos that were carnivores and omnivores. without them the park would have been covered in giant piles of crap or they would have had to have constant trains of dump trucks hauling the stuff away. this is also why they made so many of them. they were also not aware at the time that they were mildly venomous and the bite would cause symptoms similar to encephalitis. they were also one of the species with frog DNA and reproduced quite rapidly and in the first book and escaped from the island on supply boats. that scene at the beginning of the movie also happened at the start of the first book, but instead of Sorna it happened on a beach called Cabo Blanco on Costa Rica mainland. also they killed a newborn baby on the mainland. Also book Hammond very much regrets making them ;p

The book hints that compies might not actually be poisonous but that the poison is a result of the genetic engineering, due to the other DNA that was mixed in. It doesn't seem that the movies made them posionous. The DNA from other animals plays a big part in the books, whereas it only plays a fairly small part in the first movie.

Predators had their growth limits and herbivores had theirs. Sauropods were so big for many reasons. Some examples include large guts for the plant matter because they couldn't chew their food but swallowed stones to grind it in order to digest. They also had hollow bones which allowed air to pass through, and it also made them weigh less despite their size. All dinosaur bones were hollow and ours aren't. We'd probably break our bones from our own weight if we were that big and wouldn't move much during the day because of all the internal heat in our bodies.

The mission would have worked out if Peter and Ingen had not got involved, as the dinosaurs didn't bother with the humans until Ingen messed with the baby. Fun Fact: Peter was actually the one to break the babies leg as Roland had no intention on harming the baby or the mother that's why you see the male rex grab and break Peter's leg at the end. Actually, it was better for Sarah and Nick to try and heal the baby because if it died or parents saw it injured they would have gone on a rampage and attack everything that they deemed as a threat to their territory as the female would have gone back into heat.

What's really gonna blow your mind, right, is when you think about it... how did the T-rex eat the guy with his hand on the steering wheel on the boat? Didn't break the glass, didn't do anything, and somehow that same T-rex went and locked itself back in the hold again... How? Why? It's like the script said there was going to be Velociraptors or something on the boat too, but forgot there was only the big T-rex. Totally didn't need to do it that way either. Could have had the boat docked, everyone cautious, but T-rex was already awake and broke out before they could sedate it. Same thing happens going forward, but no. They wanted the boat to ram into the dock. Makes for a cooler shot. Weird choices.

Low key feel like when all the little dinos first jumped on that guy he shouldn't have just brushed them off and tried to scare them. Use them opposable thumbs, grab one of them off you and bite it's fucking head off. Can't let them think they can slow pursue you like that, gotta make them know you're a carnivore and will make them a snack. By the second time they jumped him they'd probably already delivered enough venom. He missed his moment to scare the fuck out of them and avoid this.

Before Ludlow can escape from the cargo hold, he bites down onto his leg enough to make him bleed and likely have broken bones 🦴, in a whole lot of pain not too proud to beg for mercy 😏. And the baby T-Rex is given the honor of finishing off the little weasel, as the father T-Rex watches proudly at his little boy 🤗😉👍😌.

No, as Ian malcom says, the edge of chaos. The dinosaurs either slipped to far into chaos, or too far into comfort

it was the early 90's so if they don't show the person later in the movie, or actually state they are alive. its 100% for sure they died. thats why the mother screamed its to let you know something horrible happened to her daughter. which we presume is she was eaten alive

Again, that's a lie, T-rex has great vision. rex had excellent vision, despite what Jurassic Park might have you believe. The grapefruit-sized eyes of T. rex could have distinguished objects with up to five times more precision than those of a falcon and 13 times better than a human. They also had superior color vision.

From what I've heard, it was more like the size of Texas, not the moon. The moon has like a diameter of the US but anyways Texas is a good chunk of that but not nearly as much mass because I've seen maps of the US that show how far you can go into other states and still be closer than the other side of Texas which is f****** ridiculous especially to me. I'm from a small state. I'm from Maryland and I know driving from one end of it to the other is exhausting

It was 6 or 7 miles wide. One the size of Texas (like in Armageddon) would've been leagues beyond the disaster that killed the dinosaurs.

46:00 So in a deleted scene (or I think it was in the novel), there was implied that the raptors somehow managed to get on the ship and killed everyone, but because of time and/or coherency problems or something I don't remember properly they didn't recorded it, so it seems like the T-Rex is the one that killed them all, even though it doesn't make sense cuz she was trapped by the time, and we even see her escaping of the compartiment when everyone else is dead at the ship. Besides, if the raptors were as well on the city, the movie would have lasted longer, and the T-Rex part wouldn't be the biggest and impressive thing on the final part of the movie, but rather dealing with the raptors after that, so on the one hand, it makes the movie better, but in the other it leaves a plot hole larger than my depression, but not anything we couldn't let through at that time.

The novels and movies are truly completely different. Because if they were the same Hammond would’ve died in the first film like he did in the novel. The canon setting of the film’s basically just built off the novels, we are missing multiple characters from them and they basically retconned a lot from them.
