By wearing the same outfit to school every day, you will not worry if it's cool or not because all the students are wearing the uniform. A research done by Dr Mike Hummel, a scientist in anthropology, shows that wearing school uniforms enables a student to concentrate more on studies and less on clothing and other Non-productive activities by 65% (E-Facts.com). All students in a similar outfit makes a student less concerned about what other people are wearing, which elaborates to concentration in class. Not all people agree with this analysis. Some argues that school uniforms can affect one's self image and should not be required. Students have different weights, body types, and heights. They belittle their self-image because they feel like they don’t look their best. This fact is absolutely wrong because there are different kinds of sizes for all students that fit them. Some claims that uniforms can be costly and should not be required. Parent say in fact, they spend about $249 on uniforms yearly. They also states that uniforms are sometimes costlier than civilian clothing. This reason is invalid because a study in the United States conducted a survey for 500 schools in 2013, the results is that 90% of schools are "pro uniforms" (listland.com). To conclude, school uniform has a lot of benefits and advantages. In conclusion, school uniforms should be required because it decreases the amount of bullying in schools and enables students to concentrate on studies rather than clothes.
