This almost perfectly categorizes it, besides it being such a good song to get into a good headspace, this song easily and singlehandedly defines potent nostalgia for *millions*. People who grew up during the explosion of KZbin, and obviously Vsauce with it, but I honestly feel like Jake doesn’t get nearly enough credit for this music. It’s phenomenal.

Hey Vsauce, Michael here. Nice song huh? Ever wonder where it came from? Yeah me neither, but instead of questioning whence it came or where it's headed, let's sit back and enjoy it. Maybe that's just what the creator intended, not for us to overanalyze it to point of misidentification, or meander about and miss the whole point of music, but to soak in such a highlight of the Vsauce channel. For once in it's purity, not garbled out by scifi talk, or disillusioned by fantastic images of long forgotten history. This song in itself is a highlight of history. Of course, I'll take the time to bid you goodbye as you traverse this playlist and the wonderful creations inside that have intrigued our sense of wonder for so many years. And as always, thanks for watching.

This song makes me feel like I'm a ghost who's invisible and can't interact with anyone, but I can still watch how things develop until the end of everything, and then I'm all alone forever. 😅😢 Maybe that's how a godlike creator who hides itself might feel about a universe it observes but chooses to never interact with.

I am so happy space is the way it is. The space race was born out of violent competition to see who could build the biggest nuclear missile, and then we got to space and everyone was like “this is so cool!” That we are not only still here to talk about it but joined forces to build the ISS is the best possible outcome. 38.294 for those who are wondering of why we are counting I have a short and a loooooong answer Short answer to not get bored: A guy some years ago was like "hmm... This video has 982 comments. Let's write 983". Then the internet did the internet-thing and here we are. It's all over the KZbin playlist "Vsauce Music". I'm not even sure if it was originated here or in a rundom different part of the internet and that guy just brought it in the playlist. I know for a fact that this is happening to many rundom comment sections or reply chains across KZbin. I think you could never find the real beginning since it's a human need to feel a part of something bigger. The long, story/legend like, answer (with some extra thoughts at the end): Let me tell you my child a little story about a vicious War; a War that took place deep inside the most hidden places of KZbin comments. A story that borders between simple myths and monumental legends. Long ago, ser Neil Gupta, a happy Vsauce enthusiast, ignorant of what his actions will reveal, created a public Playlist on KZbin called "Vsauce Music". You and I now exist in a video which is a part of it. Some time after that, not too far into the forgotten past but neither too close to our present, it was a researcher (me) on a lonely cold night on his apartment getting nostalgic about Michael Stevens' Vsauce videos and wanting to listen to some music. It didn't took him long to pick up on a weird pattern. Comment sections of many of the videos had comments counting something, with each new one adding 1 over the previous. Intrigued by it, he decided to go on an online expedition to find out the origins of that phenomenon. It tooked him a while until he stumbled upon a relic of the past; a comment from years ago. He was happy to finally have found the legendary Guy who started all of this. That guy was a prime observant person how saw the total amount of comments of that video at that time [It had something around 1000, maybe less, maybe more. Legends don't care about exact numbers] and commented the number. Then, the internet, with the weird mind of its own that is has, picked up the meme. First handful of weeks were a peaceful era with everyone working together, adding 1 to the previous comment and living in harmony with each another. But this peacefulness wasn't meant to last for ever. After a while, the comment section was repeatedly "attacked" by bestial, angry people, how couldn't understand the meaning behind all this and only wanted to destroy it. And thus the "Spamming War" began! The attackers commenting rundom or even mean things so the people would lose their hope and purpose in life and the defenders trying to keep the counting alive with either ignoring the intruders or including their comments to the total amount. Thankfully, after many attempts, lots of will power and Michael Stevens love, the defense of the community was victorious! After the War, the community was weakened and deeply divided upon the right counting system. On the one side, those how where counting the total amount of comments the video had, don't caring about the continuity of the numbers. And on the other side those how where just adding 1 to the previous number, no matter how many comments where in between. Eventually, the second group emerged as the leading logic (because other wise you sound count all the replies of every comment, which means when you add one reply to any rundom comment, you have to take it into account to the total number skipping some numbers) and the community was together once again, continuing for years the tradition the legendary observant started and spreading the word to the other comment sections of videos from That playlist. And then, they all lived happily ever after. The End Now go to sleep sweetie. You'll need a good night rest for tomorrow! My thoughts: As I said above, I may had once found the original comment in this video that started the counting here, along with some others from different videos of the "Vsauce Music" playlist, the counting is difficult to know where it started, if not impossible. But despite the ledgent-tone that I gave it, I really scrolled down to the first comments of some of the videos and the spam attacks actually happened. I think they were 3-4 in total in every video who where spamming with the intention of stopping that meme/social phenomenon. And the divide of what counting system to follow was a thing. If you search in a video like this one you should found, after a lot lot lot of scrolling, people who were counting in the two ways after the spam attacks. Reading some of the latest comments, I have to say that the community around Michael Steven's, aka Vsauce (because we are the "Vsauce", that's why Michael greets us in the beginning of every video), is one of the best communities I found on the internet and even in videos of the music that he uses it's still strong. His videos helped me a lot to form my identity, introducing me to science communication on the internet. Anyway. I hope you liked the legend, and as always… thanks for reading! ❤

I have never had music hit me this deep before. It leaves you with your thoughts. It gets to the point where you begin to question what thoughts are. And why existence even needs to exist. Like why isn’t there just nothing with no one existing. Maybe nothing existed for an infinite amount of time and we are just the 1 in infinity chance of there being something.

I find comfort in how everything is intrinsically insignificant. This just means that life's meaning is whatever meaning you wish for it to have. As I see it, to be happy you need to truly examine your heart and mind and even soul to see what meaning you attribute to life, and the work the hardest you can to achieve it. But don't forget the meaning may change over time, nothing is set in stone

37750. The last time I posted a comment here was 26865, 2 years ago. Honestly not doing great. I'm in a rot. I had to leave my designer job at the shoe company due to them not being able to afford keeping me hired any more 6 months after I joined. The job I joined afterwards was brutal with much less pay, and I left after 3 months. To add on top of that my best friend of 6 years who helped me get through university has dropped all communication with me out of the blue, refusing to even look at my messages. I'm scared I did something wrong and that I'll never see him again. It's the lowest I've been emotionally, but I wanted to post an update here, because wanted to tell my future self, that I believe I can dig myself out of this hole and keep climbing up. You got this.
