The donuts sound delicious that’s like the Boston cream that we have here in Michigan that has that real ice cream in the middle with chocolate on top and that cinnamon bread there at the fire sounds delicious too

Everything from Donut Friar is very good.....but I've never heard anybody rave about their cinnamon bread like they do Dollywood's.

Can you believe all of the times that we have been to the smokies thatvwexhave never been to the Donut Frier. The Dollywood Cinnamon bread is the best by far!! None better in my opinion either. I could tell by the look of that, thatbit was near as good as Dollywood 's. You need all thst good gooey stuff in the bottom of the pan thst Dollywood puts in there. Soooooooo good!

As a retailer for years, I would pay attention to the top selling product and make sure to double the inventory!! ( If the Chocolate with creme filled sells out that quick, that's a product I would try not to be so short on!! ) Just sayin' !! As I realize, there are (others) donuts to choose from , when your mind is set on your favorite and they run out quickly it can be very disappointing. Nice to know the comparison to the cinnamon bread😊 when we visit there, always stop by Friars for donuts. Thanks for the review and taking us along!!

I agree with you. It's hard to explain, but there are times we have gone in there, and they are sold completely out. At other times, we go late in the evening, and they still have a full tray or two of them. I think the Spring Break crowd just made it hard to keep certain things in supply.

We waited in line at Dollywood in December for an hour for the cinnamon bread. It was worth it!!!

Try the cinnamon bread at Skyland Ranch. It is a family recipe. It is amazing. In my opinion it beats Dollywood’s. I love Dollywood’s but Skyland Ranch for the win. Have a blessed day.

Yeah, you are correct. Dollywood's cinnamon bread has set the bar pretty high. Don't get me wrong, this wasn't bad. And it was actually much better after microwaving it for a few seconds. That softened it up. But Dollywood's Cinnamon bread is on another level as far as that goes. We still love the donuts here.

We pretty much always stay in Gatlinburg. We stayed at the Sleepy Bear Motel, but they are undergoing ownership change, so we've been staying at the Mountain House Motor Lodge. They are both budget motels. No frills, but clean.
