@@TheFiftyQuid most factory paint jobs have a bit of orange peel. If you’re trying to match the existing finish perfectly you want a little bit in there. Not something you usually see in any custom work but if you’re a professional you should be able to control it somewhat
@ericb13165 ай бұрын
@@swampfoxfpv Are you serious or is this a well-disguised joke ? Honestly, I'm simply asking, no hate there. I'm curious because I work at a factory that builds trucks and have really only seen some some light orange peel in some very small and hidden parts of the frame where heavy duty paint is applied (usually on sharp corners, weird curves, around brackets, braces etc). But I never saw orange peel on actual bodywork from the factory. This seems like the kind of imperfection that is unlikely to be spotted on a truck coming off the line, and even more on a luxury sedan... So trying to recreate that kind of effect to match a factory paintjob sounds even crazier to me, but I'm a mechanic, not a painter so maybe I just never looked close enough...
@swampfoxfpv5 ай бұрын
@@ericb1316 oh definitely nothing this extreme. I consider “orange peel” as pretty much any texture in the clear coat surface. You *usually* have to get close to see it on a factory job but if the fender has a slight factory peel to it and you lay the bumper down like glass it can be noticeable. Honestly I’d hesitate to call what he did orange peel. That’s just a fucked up work piece

Ruined vip cars for me even though im currently building one... "Has to be slammed" "has to be cambered" wildin fr
@bonniscootor5 ай бұрын
This really felt like someone just wanted to have an excuse to get their car on camera. They did zero interior mods and didn't even mention anything about tinting or customizations outside of rims. Camber isn't everything, and was meant as a way to show off air suspension on a car that typically didn't come with it; having it blown to bits looks ugly.

Lmao where have you seen a proper VIP car that isn't slammed?

Hey donut, this video was a great watch but I think it would be better if you spent less time cutting up the clips and have more raw content, even if it’s long. I think we’d enjoy that more

LS, 1st Gen and 3rd Gen is the hotness. And some select pre-4th Gen years. You can still see two 1st/2nd gen static lowered LS's with exhaust in San Diego. Sure, there are more, but these two are friends.

Donut, you don't HAVE to try so hard man...the OG's are still with you dude. We know growth is unavoidable and that's fine. If your new target demographic is TikTok kids that's fine too. This, though, came across like a shot-gunned panic put-together. Please, listen to your hosts. They've been here. They know what good content is. They still BELIEVE! Put the dollars in the backseat for a bit, y'all are still raking it in. This channel has the reach to spark a genuine love in kids, not just be a short attention span click and go. And that is the most important thing
