I remember reading about the C6-R destroying the competition. At which point I was wondering why people were hating on the Corvette. I've always thought the Corvette was a phenomenal car even with the pushrod V8. They make amazing power and are fun to drive. Till this day, the car I will buy to track will be a C5 Z06. Even with all the crap plastics in the interior, garbage seats, and other BS. That's a great toss-able car to learn to drive fast in. Thank you Chevrolet Corvette team.

I love the original guys too, but I can tell you being in front of a camera trying to talk about cars (or anything) is extremely difficult; even for the most extroverted of personalities. I definitely could sense his enthusiasm for all things automotive...it was there. I have been nervous in front of the camera before shooting a commercial for an automotive service department, and I was stunned at how difficult it was. I cannot imagine doing it in a second language! Looking at the videos that were posted a long time ago by Donut that featured James are very different. He grew into his automotive personality, and really found his footing. Of course it also didn't hurt that he was an actor well before getting this gig. Give Felipe some time, I'm sure he will get better with each opportunity that he's given to showcase a vehicle.

The majority of the things this video uses to describe the C6.R applies to every other race car from the era, but it makes it seem like the C6.R was a pioneer of some sorts. And the map isn't used cause drivers forget the track. We use the map because referring to individual turn numbers is the preferred system when communicating. At a track like the 'Nordschelife', this system is very useful for advising drivers of accidents ahead, Code 60 zones, etc.

You can't really use displacement to denote a small or big block. For example Chevrolet had a 348 cubic inch big block W head engine but also had a 428 cubic inch (7.0 liter LS7) small black. Another example: Pontiac had engines going from 326 all the way to 455 cubic inches, all based on the same block. And Ford had two engines with identical displacement of 351 cubic inches, one was based on a big block (Cleveland) and the other was based on a small block (Windsor). The block families were differentiated by the deck height. Not displacement. At least as far as Chevy is concerned. I believe Oldsmobile had big and small blocks, but the difference was the crank journals were bigger on the big blocks.
