Stunt driving is full of fearless, borderline crazy people. Today on Past Gas, we’re talking about possibly the craziest stunt man of them all. A guy whose stunt was so reckless, even Evel Knievel took a pass. Ken Carter, aka the Mad Canadian, had a dream to jump a mile over a river, in a rocket-powered Lincoln Continental. What would you risk for glory? How dangerous is too dangerous? That and more as the guys explore one of the wildest stories we’ve ever told.
►LISTEN TO THE PODCAST HERE!

I have a recommendation for a topic: Paula Murphy. She was the first Miss STP and was known as "the fastest woman on wheels." She may still be alive - and if she is, she'll be living in the Valley. After her motoring career, she worked at Rocketdyne.

The UK had our own version of these guys. His name was Eddie Kidd. I saw him at a show with my dad and grandad when I was probably nine or ten. He jumped a bunch of double-decker buses. I'd love to see a past gas about him.

It is so awesome to hear the story behind this unbelievable stunt from stoned Joe, hungover James and the always on-point Nolan. Thanks, Donut. What a great team. A great team desperately in need of an audio guy. Or girl. Man. Or woman. Get an audio woman. Make her wear a school marm dress and smack that skinny motorcycle man across the knuckles with a ruler every time he curses. This is the recipe for success.
