I've loved music of all genres going back to classical pieces. Some listenable music is still made but I have to dig further to find it. Have just discovered Alec Benjamin, Jpolnd, and Shawn Mendes thanks to the Netflix series, Bridgerton. The only music I've never gotten into is rap as it lacks softness to my ears although the writer is telling a harsh story. I also find that many of today's songs repeat the same three words, though not as a refrain.

Where were we in 1962? My older brother had just bought a new 1962 Impala Super Sport 409 4-speed white with red interior. I got to drive that Chevy exactly three times by myself. It was a status thing, I guess, and a great head-turning auto-not to mention the car was fast. My girlfriend loved that auto much more than me. I was in junior high. We were raised in a small town in Texas everything revolved around Friday night football, girls, and driving around on Saturday, late afternoon, and Saturday night and the drive-in malt shop. And of course there were wonderful girls-real ladies. The fall was great as I remember the turning colors of nature. A Lot of dove and quail hunting with friends. There were also some Hamm's, Splitz, etc. and, of course, wonderful girls. At the theater we watched some rerun 1950's horror in a "three pack" presentation many Saturday afternoons. I remember: The Mole People; Monster on the Campus; and Invasion of the Saucer Men. Wonderful to be raised in the 1950s and into the 1960s. Then LBJ and Vietnam came along.
