years ago i felt bad putting my golden in his crate, so i removed the door…and he was never crate trained…i now have a 22 week old pup, she’s not been out of the crate at night ever, and naps are spent in her crate too, unless she falls asleep outside the crate…she sleeps better and i can leave the room. i have a completely different attitude towards crates, it’s her special area, she feels safe

My dog mummy didn't like her pups wearing collars. I had the crate inside the big playpen so mum and puppies used it for sleeping all the time. I bred Lhasa Apso. Mum had her pups in it but I had to take it away between 2 wks to 4 wks old so pups could crawl to the toilet area. I was shocked some would want to crawl off the bed at only 2 wks to pee or poop. A breeder wrote online that if you supply a toilet area from birth they will use it very young. I put a blanket around 3 sides of the crate to make a nice cave for them and a big blanket inside. Interesting how everyone is different so we can learn new things

When your « mothers » have 4 litters and you retire them, do you sell them? I am so happy to see how well taken care of these puppies are. Wish I had the kind of money to buy one but maybe in another lifetime……I love doggies so much and raised many during my lifetime. Love your videos!! You guys do such an amazing job with your puppy’s! I have a question. Have you had any trouble with the puppies transition to going potty outside from going on the grates? I know sometime potty training can be hard for pups when they have to transition from different surfaces so I am curious if you have had that or if they do fine since they are so well adjusted!
@DoodlesofNC2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! So far we have not had any issues it really just teaches them to separate their areas and two sleeping playing eating and pottying. Once they learn their boundaries they hold it until you can take them outside to go to the bathroom. We do not recommend the great potty training continuing as they go home.

Hiya, great videos, thanks for sharing. Just wanted to ask how you track the birth order of the pups if you don't put a whelping collar on them at birth? I know from experience that it's important to note each birth and any complications that may have arisen for any individual pup, note it's condition at birth and any defects and weigh it etc. You may want to looking to the velcro whelping collars while they're too small for the clip collars.
@DoodlesofNC2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thank you for the suggestion. We have actually tried Velcro And it rubbed on the mom with the edges and made some scratches. We didn’t love them! This really works for us. We’ve never had any concerns. For any complications, I would go ahead and mark them with a collar. So I could identify them. Thank you again!
