And the others, laughingly, joined me in solidarity. So none of us could give the answer to the question because we had cut off the relevant finger.

Poisonous actually. Venom only works when injected into the bloodstream, and poison only works when ingested. Honestly, a venomous bird sounds absolutely terrifying and would be found in Australia.

Poisonous is correct. Pitohuis have batrachotoxins in their plumage and skin, but they do not have a method of injecting it. To put it in layman's terms, if you bite it and you die, it was poisonous, and if it bites you and you die, it was venomous.
