My first gameplay of Doom 2016 was on my laptop. The game didn't go smoothly, it wasnt lagging but it was slow. I finished the game and even started it for the 2nd time 😂. Now I have better, desktop gaming PC, all of my games run smoothly now

For enthusiasts it is impossible, for serious mappers it is a thing they dont want to touch. Just copying doom 2016 is too hard and not respectful. The geometry is pure horror, the atmosphere is unrepeatable (untill you are a god of udmf), you should open slade and try to make third map of 2016 to understand why there are more arenas from doom eternal ported to doom 2 than doom 2016 maps. Actually demaking doom eternal is far easier than 2016

The cut scenes aren't actually that unrealistic if you remember in Daggerfall they had a completely live action scene that was palpitated in a way such as this.

Love it. These maps translate really well. Excellent job mimicking the verticality in this level and I love the touch that you sometimes have to slow down to get the climb on the boxes right as it simulated the time it takes to climb up in 2016. I think my only suggestion given the enemy types used is to play with fast monsters on. That would really feel like 2016.

Not gonna lie, this is pretty cool. Honestly I’m not sure why, since it’s just a 1 on 1 recreation of Doom in Doom 1995, but I still find it cool and intriguing. Also I love how people are still modding a game that’s all the way back from ‘95 shows how truly inspirational that game was. Great job by the way, keen to see more!

cool thing is, that you even made the music to a midi :D But maybe you should make it so that at the gore nest (cool idea to use the eye for that :D ) the zombies are like in the original game and that you have to press use on the eye (you could make a switch in the floor if you cant simulate it otherwise) so that then the imps spawn.

Did you draw the enemy and weapon sprites and textures on your own? Interesting choice to do so instead of using Doom's native Imp and Soldier sprites and weapon graphics. Even the enemy behaviour is different and closer to Doom 2016. Lot more hard work has been put into it than I expected when I first clicked on the video. So good!
