I love how the imp has been looking more and more like the classic Doom version with each game. In Doom 2016, they really didn't look like the classic imp very much. In Doom Eternal, it was the same base design as 2016, but the colors were tweaked and the body spikes were altered a bit, so that the imp more closely resembled the classic version. But in Dark Ages, the imp pretty much looks exactly like the classic imp, but with modern graphics. Very cool.

Dark Ages Imp definitely looks like the one in the original. Given the open and flat environments, the 2016/Eternal design wouldn´t make much sense with all their wall jumping / climbing. (Love these videos

I personally would love to see some of those color-swaps brought back in future DOOM games. Perhaps given more distinct designs and lore. The Mancubus/Druj, Pinky/Belphegor, Cacodemon/Malwrath, Arch-Vile/Apollyon, etc. Or even some demons unique to DOOM RPG like the "Chainstrosity" and "Pinkinator."

Every Demon resurrects, they cannot die for eternity. The "Eternal" in Doom Eternal isn't just for fancy looks. This is also a reason why ArchVilles don't resurrect them anymore, but that's not an oficial statement so don't take my word for granted.

It's a sad that imp in eternal can't throw fireballs when he on walls and climbing on them like in previous, and that devs disabled jumping attack in 2016, but it's good that in closed alpha you can extract original model from e3 with textures, In Collin Geller's concept art for doom 2016 lost souls could be with Cyber-enhanceds,like arachnotron or mancubus in doom 2/3 and doom eternal,his counterpart in canceled doom glowed blue and had a body shape like scrag from first quake have.

Id just like to add my own headcanon for doom 3. I have a theory that either you do actually get possessed, or the entire experience is gas leaks and bad planetary magnetism. No-one needs to agree with this. Its just wild how everyone goes ape shit and blood thirsty, and the game literally ends with "hey this guy is waking up!" Food for thought, i guess😂
