Your script keeps mentioning "His father, abattoir" but that's not his name. It's the word for a slaughterhouse and his story mentions his father having one. Still a super cool lore breakdown!

Oh I was aware that the 'abattoir' mentioned was a slaughterhouse belonging to his father. If it sounded like 'Abatoire' was the name of the father, that wasn't my intention. Sorry for the confusion.

So let me get the following things straight. You're telling me that Doom won over Quake in terms of popularity, yet Quake is ever-so-expansive, both in its influences and the universe it pulls from, while on the other hand, Doom, under the words of John Carmack when he said that thing about story in videogames, had to make it up as it went ... Why isn't iD properly bringing back Quake??? Yeah, we have Champions, but that's a stretch. They should give quake the Doom 2016 treatment, especially since Andrew Hulshult partially helms the OST for Champions. It'd be a blast to play through a newer take! As for this channel ... ? Saying that it's SEVERELY UNDERRATED would be an understatement, this channel needs more attention. Been binging videos for days now, every evening after work.

I want Death Knight and Ranger to team up in a new quake game so bad... The asymmetrical cool would be awesome, like portal 2 and Halo 3 but in quake each with their own arsenal and abilities. Death Knight worshiping Ranger and ranger just wanting to go home... The game ending with Ranger finding his way home or making a new one while passing the dire orb off to Death Knight so he can continue his eternal war. Duke Nukem 3D has a mod called Alien Armageddon that does exactly this with it's gameplay.

Death Knight is my favorite character in Quake Champions. I wouldn't mind at all being able to play him in a single-player campaign ^^

4:14 Here Quake wiki is likely to be mistaken because if we talk only about qc's canon event of expamsions for Quake 1996 is considered to be not canon, it is not yet clear whether the dimension of the past and machine considered canon as domains, and because of this it is possible that Chthon is in hell's fortress, but this is for now theories and guesses.

My understanding was that the locations, enemies, or other objects related to the game were canon, 'canon' being a vague word for this game. I had to double-check some information, such as the 'Gaunt Shepherd'. The Church of Quake was saying that Volkerth was called like that, but in truth, it was M'yriah. So, yeah, I try my best to find the right answers and not to spread unsourced information, but the lore is not well-covered, making it difficult to find information. I would love to see an official lore guide. That would be truly useful ^^

One misconception about the elder gods. If you see Lovecraft gods, you don't go mad by seeing them rather if you aren't a creative mind (Since human with creative mind are the closest to becoming Dreamers, or dream god with vast power but still bottom tier to all the other. Basically human were given god like power but forget how to weild, all the other gods when lol on humans) , you won't process what your seeing. So, if your a creative person, you won't go mad as it so suggested.
