The cutscene where doomguy kneels to king novik, I just had a revelation. The doomguy was respecting king Novik's memory, but he didnt care about what he said. The kneeling was almost meant to be mocking, given how he saunters away and disregards what he said. A last royal gesture for a dead kingdom.
