@@torqq69 the reason why mick left was because apparently, mick was not meeting deadlines, and the music want what ID was visioning, they took his music and they changed it. apparently, this caused mick to be upset, so He and id got into an argument, which caused mick to stop working with doom eternal. Mick didn't compose any extra music for the DLC, and he confirmed he was gonna move onto different game development studios. It's really sad that this happened, especially considering DOOM and Mick were a match made in heaven. his legacy with doom will sorely be missed

Seeing as Matt Halpern's on the drums, I wanna point those getting into metal because of Doom in the direction of Periphery. They're one of the best metal acts today and the influence they've had on Doom's soundtrack is very apparent. For a start, I recommend songs like Ragnarok and Make Total Destroy.

I've always loved metal but this video is what got me into periphery I gotta say though man, those are bad recommendations LOL There are so many more digestible and better songs by periphery for introducing people to them. @Kuooii clowning It's a bit complex of a situation. People complain that the Doom soundtrack didn't seemed to look like anything in the game, it seems it was badly remixed. This because during the process Mick seemed to struggle in properly remixing making the soundtrack s for shipping. So Id software (I think it was them) Gave Mick 2 more weeks I believe. Still Mick didn't managed to delivered anything and so one of the people of the company had to do the remixing themselves for shipping. The result was that the music didn't looked like anything and Mick seemed pissed. But here is the thing, first we got the badly remixed Doom music. Them Mick confessed on a twit that he was unhappy the way they remixed. And then one of the directors of the game came out and told the story about Mick missing the deadlines and so they had to do the the remixing themselves. This quite a few mouths ago so I don't know if it had any more updates.

​@Mercury i have listen to that band and i dont like that band. they did their own thing and didnt know they made some kind of djent style. djent is a genre that is created by the internet. not by meshuggah. and no djent doesnt take skills to play. its the 2 or maybe 3 top guitar strings. mostly played on the E,A or E,A,D string. djent is technically not hard to play. if you want a metal style that is hard to play then look for technical death metal like bands as origin or necrophagist. those are technically hard metal styles to play. djent doesnt even come close to it. its literally one of the easiest "metal" genres to play.
