Without a doubt Mick is the most passion-filled creator I know. I've spent days and days trying to mimic sounds from Doom 2016 in FL Studio using some of his talks from conventions (GDC is the best for it btw). Whilst he's obviously a lot more skilled then me, one thing you realise trying to mimic him is that he doesn't cut corners, in fact he does way more work than needed and even bent the rules he was given to make Doom 2016 an unforgettable experience. Doom 2016 was anazing but it wouldn't have been much more than "it's okay" if it wasn't for Mick. I haven't ruined Eternal's soundtrack yet, I want to enjoy it in the game for the first time. If you give Mick some room to be creative, he'll turn it into audiable cocaine that'll hype you up for anything.

Totally. He used a law mower through a synthesizer at one point in a song from 2016's soundtrack. He definitely thinks outside the box. Then when you mention him not cutting corners and putting extra work in, that's completely true as well. The 2016 soundtrack has hidden messages buried deep within it only revealed when played at a certain speed and at some clever frequency (something to do with 666 iirc) or something along those lines. There's a video on the Easter eggs in either Doom 2016 or it's specifically about Easter eggs just in the soundtrack for 2016 alone lol. Cool shit.

He did put some in but not alot. If you watch his breakdown on the gdc (fantastic watch) he talks about it, and also how the game would feel like a joke if they used guitars because metal in itself doesnt have that much of a serious reputation in the context they want to use it. If prog megal doesnt use many instruments then we have no argument. You just agreed to what i said and gave it a name. Cause i didnt know what genre this is. Damn, dude. I was super impressed by the vocalist who did mongolian metal.... I was going to go look up what he's working on right now, and then I saw his name in memoriam at the end. RIP Nature Ganganbaigal. 😔

I can confirm: I have now gotten into metal music because of this game. Surrounded by my Sanrio plushies, painting my nails with my hair up in my favorite pink scrunchie, I am jamming out to metal and LOVING IT. Thank you, DOOM! Thank you, all you wonderful musicians! You've made this girl's world so much bigger!

So here's a lil idea: what if someone who is a fan of doom, inserted their own voices for this chant in certain songs from the 2016 soundtrack. What songs would possibly fit this chant?
