To be fair, the league of villains gathered here is among the strongest coalition of evil ever seen in video games, the Doom Slayer is just built unfathomably different. You got Bowser the king of the Koopas, Wario the evil counterpart and rival to Mario, immortal and murderous space pirate Riddely, freakin' Ganondorf, the one-winged angel Sephoroh, Kazuya who is a literal demon, King K. Rool, and of course the murderous mercenary for hire Wolf. This assemblage of evil could make the gods themselves tremble, yet they unwisely chose to face the one god Hell itself could not contain: the Doom Slayer.

The final smash is so cute. I could logistically see two versions of it playing out, the one shown if Isabelle is on the same team, and one with her absent if she isn't on the team. Both doom and Nintendo have referenced the meme and they are now canonically married, however the fighter's moves rarely feature other fighters at all and if they do it's Easter eggs only for the most part.
