The real reason those old traps worked is because the other hoplite trappers took pity on you and died to them on purpose to encourage a 'new' trapper

am a pretty garbage former 1.8 player, and got multiple people in tree headhitters in my first two games of hoplite i speculate there's a ton of new players who don't have the pattern recognition from hypixel. if you see 100 tree/cave headhitters + swegfies then you'll learn to not fall for them hoplite players see all the crazy traps and and less of the simple ones
