The area around the Blackfell Workshop (5306,-1480) you can get both polluted water and oil. However, the pumps alternate per cycle, 4 water, then 1 oil back and forth). However if you don't have a spot there by now, you won't. There's only enough area for 4 plots within the polluted area, so only 40 people per server will get it (10 worlds)

The absolute best way to power a fuel farm is to settle in oil fields but over water. Advanced Hydro Generators are way stronger, and with Electrical Expert + One with the Tide perks (unfortunately that means one person has to roll both for it to stack this way) they get up to 37-39W per generator. That buffed by an Electric Eel can get all the way up to 60-ish Watt output per gen. If you also craft/buy a "Treasure Hunter" advanced drill and use "Canned Seafood in oil" for mining trips, a single 30-minute run in a good zone can yield you anywhere between 6 to even 20k startrace ore depending on your luck. Combine that with Oil Refining and Art of Stardust decay, and you have an insanely effective machine for making absolute tons over tons of Stardust Source and Acid without much effort. Admittedly, this requires quite some luck with specialization perk rolls (or good social/trading skills to trade with others for craftable items), but is entirely doable in a team of 2-3 people

adv biomass generators are way better generators since you can use logs to fuel them and you're good for like 10 days, its like 1k-ish wood to fill one up and you get like 30W or more with perks (i know they're a bit expensive but you just farm mats in a few hours or less)

even better, you can use 25 Shellfish farmed from shellrock at the shores to filled the biomass full. Each Shellfish power up 100 energy to the generator and easy to farm

Make an updated "Best Places to Build" now that the game has been out a while and a lot of double up spots (Oil + Acid) have been found. You can break it down by Oil/Acid/Fresh Water/Oil+Acid/Oil+Fresh Water/Acid+Freshwater, Nearby key resources (i.e., near coconut trees )etc.

The specialization to get +10w from solar panels would be the better payout, even compared to having the extra generator. The one you're using is just better if you're using the others that give 30w from the start.

The best option available though is Electrical Expert + One with the Tide combo on Advanced Hyraulic Generators. Gets up to 39W per generator if you choose a good spot for "current speed".

You can relocate with pressing B (enter building mode) then press z, for the notes your waterpump (and maybe few more) would get destroyed, but youll have the mats back

if you're lucky with your specialiaztion you can get a star dust mine platform. that way it becomes afk. otherwise, go all the way top right of the map, theres a huge polluted zone with a lot of startrace. I have set my base there and have over 20K stardust ores.

Seems good and all but this actually needs one more memetic spec, which is stardust ore mining site. Stardust pump specialization on the other hand, is much less work in my opinion. You pretty much only need a bunch of recycled junk, and acid, and make batteries. All of which are easily farmable if you just play the game and farm rift anchor areas for chests.

Did you try a storage container/water container in between? My water refiner works that way. Instead of directly putting rain water into the refiner i have a storage unit in between and it works until it reaches the max stack capacity.

If your place your pumps at a higher level than the water storage and connect it via pipe then it will feed into the pump so you don’t have to manually collect the oil. Gravity has to feed into the storage crates. Then the storage crate to connect to your refinery again via gravity!

@@TrueMonty Sorry about that, I'm not sure what you are doing differently but I'm getting mixed fuel when I do it. If you are somehow getting premium fuel you could always trade it for regular fuel. Outside of certain craftables, premium fuel is better as you don't have to carry as much of it to refuel your vehicles.
