Paddle Steamer Waverley is one of the two best ships in the world. The other one is in Long Beach, CA at pier J -- RMS Queen Mary, built in Clydebank, Scotland. Hopefully, I'll sail again on the Waverley. Keep this magnificent tradition alive! Thanks for the wonderful video.

Great mechanical as well as scenic view. But I doubt the Waverley could handle big oceanic waves with such a low free board. On those days she's probably not in service.

during the first world war some of the fleet, ships the same size as Waverley, ended up in some very strange places such as Murmansk. In WW2 many served in the seas around the UK and cross channel. And in the 1860s some of Waverley's predecessors were sold by their owners to run the Union blockade in the US Civil War which meant a transatlantic voyage. One fleet member was sold in the 1900s to Canadian Pacific and sailed transatlantic to Canada. So they can do the heavy seas, but in general yes really estuary boats. Waverley's cruises get cancelled or curtailed by bad weather/seas sometimes.
