​Hi Ivana! Catching up on videos and saw your beautiful bag wow 🥰 💙 I have a Natural Barlow I got on Ebay. Excellent condition but whewwww! Like it was doused in heavy perfume ugh 🤮 It took a month but it's gone now. It put charcoal packs in it, plus I put baking soda in a sock inside lining and outside in a closed bag). Tbe frst two weeks in a closed cotton dustbag ( Well ventilated room off the garbage) then another 2 weeks out of the dustbag, changing out the charcoal and baking soda and FINALLY its gone. I hope you can get the smell out. It is so beautiful! 💙💙

I love that bag. That is a style that I let get away from me. I agree, it looks like Ocean. It looks great on you. You might want to try some Fresh Wave gel packets. You might want to spray it with odorban non scented they sell it in the cleaning supplies at dollar tree. It’s a really pretty bag maybe the perfume is to cover up another scent. I have seen people on KZbin wash their florentine bags as well. Tfs 💙

I’m pretty sure it’s called Denim. I actually have seen other Florentine online is this color but they never last. It’s a great color. I love how Florentine looks once it’s worn. Actually my second ever Dooney was a red pebbled leather large satchel back when the handles matched the bag. I used it so much that my bag faded across the top where the sun would hit in while I sat it in the passenger seat driving to work. I sure do miss that bag. This bag suits you, it’s really cute. 💙🤎💙🤎

Congratulations thats a great color, dont you love special collectable finds! Ive seen a few on selling apps was on the fench about one myself because of the side Tassels! Do your research on leather cleaning products and try it. I wouldnt mind a nice perfume scent. Your my favorite Hand bag Chanel!

For bag odors place an open baking soda container inside the bag. Seal it airtight in a vacuum storage bag with your hands (not a vacuum) After a day or two check to see if the odor has subsided, if it needs more time stir the baking soda and repeat the process. Normally perfume & musty smells will be gone in about 3-4 days. And about 1-2 days for lighter odors. I don't know if the next tip will work on your specific bag, but to clean my Florentine, I use Furniture Clinic Leather Cleaner. I love the way my bag looks after I've cleaned and conditioned. Hope this helps!

Hey, Ivanna!! Put some coffee beans inside the bag and then set the bag outside sunbathing and I will go as far as putting the bag inside a ziplock bag inside the freezer overnight alternating between outside sunbathing during the day and on the freezer at night time and both ways still having the coffee beans inside the bag and see what happens ( remember we smell coffee beans when we are shopping for perfume) maybe that can help😉 Thanks for sharing 😊❤

It's a gorgeous bag 😍 and now I want one too 🙈 coffee beans absorb smells too, I put a few beans inside when I need to do some "interior detox" on my pre-loved bags 😅 heard the putting inside a plastic bag and keep it in the freezer for a few hours also work but I don't have a big freezer and to be honest I'm afraid of trying this method anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hotels and car dealers have an ozone eliminator. I have borrowed one twice. Someone smoked in my car and I had a Dooney with a strong odor. My issues were solved by using this device!

You're a brave soul diving into the secondary market. Try 1/4 cup of baking soda in a shallow dish in the interior of the bag to absorb the smell while it is tied in a plastic bag in a sunny spot so the UV light can help. If that doesn't work, you will likely need to handle wash the lining. Good Luck!

It's beautiful, Ivana. I just dipped my toes in pre-loved too. It's tricky. Yes, I got a beautiful Cole Haan bag for a crazy good price, but it has issues too. It looks roomy enough but it holds very little. And the center stripe of suede was a real challenge to clean. So is pre-loved a good idea or not? The jury's still out. 🤗🌻

I got 3 beautiful Dooney & Bourke florentine leather bags in a lot about 5 years ago that had purfume on them. I have left them in the Garage for all those years and the purfume smell is still on all 3. I am finally going to try and sell them (I will explain the purfume smell) I am so sad because they are 3 beautiful saddlebags which I love.

👜 I purchased a bag on eBay, and it was a new bag, but it came from a smokers home, and it had a very strong oder - I put the bag in a bin with an open box of baking soda and the smell did go away, but not entirely - In retrospect, I wish I would have returned it - Too much of a hassle, and I eventually fell out of love.

I message the seller prior to purchase asking if there are noticeably unpleasant or strong odors/pet and smoke free home/signs of wear/any marks on interior. If signs of wear, I ask for additional close up pics. If there isn't a pic of the key keeper, I ask about it. Twice I received bags that were listed as "like new", but key keeper was cut out. The message will be saved in your Ebay/Poshmark/Mercari history. If the seller is less than truthful and it's a deal breaker, you can file to receive a refund. One thing I love about preloved is that, with good quality pics, you can see the exact bag you are purchasing...pebbled/smooth..I love both depending on the silhouette.

Too bad the seller didn't let you know of the perfume smell. I think it's dishonest, that is important information to know. I purchased a LV bag that smelled of smoke.....eeks. I used white vinegar and water to get rid of the smell.
