"Alice in Dairyland" came to Door County recently and met some new friends in the business (and science) of local agriculture. But who is Alice?
Alice in Dairyland is a one-year, full-time public relations professional employed by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (WI DATCP). Each year, Alice in Dairyland travels more than 30,000 miles throughout the state, promoting Wisconsin agriculture to various audiences. She also conducts hundreds of media interviews, gives speeches and makes school presentations.
This year's Alice is Ashley Hagenow of Poynette, Wisconsin. While in Door County, Ashley visited the Peninsular Agricultural Research Station, Seaquist Orchard Farm Market, and Evergreen Nursery, among other stops.
