Fantastic Video!! I love Revit, but always struggled to understand how to format and organize schedules. Your video really helped me to clear up all of my confusion. Thank you for explaining the sorting and grouping tab. For those of you struggling like I was to get all of the same window/door type in one row, don't forget to deselect the "Itemize every instance" box in the "Sorting and Grouping" tab. Thanks again Ryan!

What about the dimensions of the finishes per room? Thanks for the vid!

In the Room Schedule, Area will give you floor area. Then the best I can find for wall area is to do a Wall Schedule and the Area field will give you that (openings are automatically excluded from Area). Also, the Room Schedule will give you Perimeter which you can use for base boards or crown molding.

Is it possible to write the sill height as beam top in window schedule?
@ryanweber1535 жыл бұрын
Yes, what I would do is go to the Window Schedule view, click on Formatting in the View Properties, click on the Sill Height Field and type Beam Top for Heading.

What did you mean by “ create room”?
@oelscott24604 жыл бұрын
You have to let Revit know what you define as the "room". There may be an instance where you have two rooms in one space; a living room and kitchen.

Thanks for replying Oel.
@ryanweber1534 жыл бұрын
Yes, Oel is right. In Revit, you go to the Architecture tab and click on Room then click inside of a room that is surrounded by walls and Revit creates a Room and Tags it. In the case of a living room and kitchen without a wall separating them, you need to add a Room Separator first, then create the Rooms.
