Maybe further public education on what to expect when police are called to situations that involve weapons. Better yet : What to expect when a policeman sees a gun.😮 When police see a gun they Do Not initially consider your right to bear arms. I think people need to know this.

Wow! What an explanation from IMPD. The young man obviously had a mental diagnosis Indianapolis had better hope this is not like the case in Missouri where the family in reference to the individual there with a mental illness sued winning big big. He just walked up there and shot him. They could have from a distance told him to put his gun down and come out with his hands up.

So many things can be learned here. 1. Though there may be laws that allow ownership of a fire arm, Law enforcement when they get a sign that a perpetrator is armed There reaction is to eliminate the threat, go home safe at all costs!

I have spent my lifetime career in a Legal capacity, and over the years, as crime has become more predominant and people move away from values and any fear of God I observe significant differences that did not exist years ago. I'm loyal to Law enforcement, but not when I think they are wrong. Regardless, I think the family has legal recourse. I do not care about the previous arrest record or if he ran up and down the street, threatening the neighbors he had a mental diagnosis that mitigating factor is the 🔑 key.

did you look up what the 911 call was about? Did you get the body cam video? You're making a pretty harsh accusation on someone (the police officer) with less than half the information/evidence needed.
