You can also use the button to trigger a sound, all you need is a cheap speaker plugged into the Google home

This was a while ago, but I think I remember seeing that. IIRC, what I wanted was to have a notification go across *all* speakers in my house, not just one near the door (that as well as notify me on my mobile devices). The reason is because I could be taking a shower at the time or have music blasting in my headphones while busy working in my office. No matter where I'm at or what I'm doing, I'll get notified. That said: I've since upgraded to the Nest Doorbell Battery, which is great for me since I rent my condo and can't easily upgrade the exterior. The integration above was super fun, though!
