It’s horrible. I’ve been dashing for about three years and decline all Walmart orders. My first was about a 200.00 order about 51 items. My tip was 5.49. Second one I took was 135 items and the bill was almost 590.00. I was expecting at least 10% tip. Nope 7.81. I’m not sure but I think the Walmart dash orders don’t have a spot where a customer can tip is the only thing that I can think of. There’s also the wait time for Walmart to come out to you and load everything up and then the time you spend unloading all of it. I had a Chinese order for 3 items and made the same I did on the 135 item Walmart order. Doordash needs to guarantee at least 10% on those Walmart orders otherwise it’s not worth it. I’ve talked with other dashers and they all decline Walmart orders as well. Why would I do 10 times the amount of work on a Walmart when I can drop off a few things of food and made the same amount if not more

@@DailyPayBootcamp You should make a video about doordash stealing tips. Their pay model is extremely misleading. They say you get to keep 100% of tips. They also pay you less for a delivery if you receive a tip. I made a delivery yesterday with a guaranteed pay of $7. They tipped $5 on top of that so doordash reduced their pay to me to $2. I made $7 off that delivery rather than $12 as one would expect. That is the definition of scummy.

I did 3 Walmart deliveries before and all were awful. First one I did was for an apartment complex. Finding the building was already a pain in the rear. Now I had to make 4 trips through 3 flights of stairs to get this person's order. Then I had to collect a signature, so I had to go back to the person's apartment to collect the signature. 2nd time, I arrived at Walmart and I was told to go inside the store but then a worker inside the store told to go out and wait outside. I was so confused and told her I was told to come in. Then she rudely replied I had to go outside. Same deal when I finally went outside and I got yelled at by the teenage kid to go inside and told him what happened then the manager showed up and loaded my car finally. Well I got to the hotel I was delivering the stuff to, only to find out that the guest hasn't arrived and I had to enter a random hotel room to stock it up. 3rd and final order, went smooth at first until I showed up to the house only to find out they weren't home. I literally waited an hour in the blazing sun for them to show up and they refused for me to take the order back to the store. After an hour they came back to sign their order and back their stuff in. Got no tip for a $200 order while waiting an hour in 95°F heat and never recieved an apology. After that, no more Walmart orders.

Walmart orders is all doordash sends me between $5-9 and it takes an hour to complete. Not worth it. I decline all walmart orders

If doordash wants less declines for walmart deliveries then at least put a 10% tip for drivers on total of grocery bill. It's alot of work carrying a ton of heavy items.

My first DoorDash was to Walmart. It was 15 bags of groceries and I had to carry it up 4 flights of stairs. To me, it was not worth $6.50. They never even mentioned that it might be a chance during orientation. The vids they had us watch were all about restaurants.

Not sure when you started DoorDash but Walmart deliveries were not something they did. It's only been around year or so. I had to approve Walmart deliveries to be sent to my Dasher app but not sure if they just include it now. Just decline those deliveries and you'll be alright.

I decline walmart orders when I did a couple and seen what was involved.Climbing up stairs to a 3 flat apartment carrying cases of water,was definently not worth it. They usually have large orders with tons of heavy items.Not worth the money.

Thank you for the information. I was wondering how the drivers made any money since Walmart does not give the customer an option to tip using their credit card. I get the impression most drivers don’t receive cash tips when they make deliveries, either. Every time I have food delivered now I always make sure to have cash to tip the drivers, they seemed shocked but very thankful when I do. Walmart needs to allow customers to tip using their credit cards, it’s a fairly easy process to set it up, they just seem not to want to for some reason.

Yes, I was driving when they first started doing Walmart, so we were given the option. I figured I would give it a shot and see but it was a no go from then on.

I did 2 Walmart doordash deliveries it’s so time consuming. Second delivery was to an apartment which took me a while. Gate code didn’t work. Someone behind me opened the gate. A lot of times customer don’t tell you what floor they are on and ended being on the third floor. Deliveries included 3 cases of bottled water. &7.83 delivery. Apartments are one of the worst delivery destinations whether it’s food, groceries, or packages. Customers don’t give enough details for everyone delivery it is time consuming.

I couldn’t agree with you any more. Even if you got paid $5 for a food delivery and did two an hour, you probably would have come out better than that Walmart delivery. 😑

6 bags of groceries 3 cases of soda a case of water. Four trips back and forth to the car $7 and change. Thank God it was the ground floor You can get as much or more just delivering fast food. Never again

Had to deliver huge order from Walmart. Included five 24 packs of soda,six gallons of water,four 8 packs of soda to third floor apartment. Made $6.76. They really need to pay more for those.

My first weekend doing DoorDash I picked up a Walmart delivery. Didn't know it was 180+ items until I arrived at Walmart! THANK GOD I drive a CR-V! I had to load and unload it all on my own!!! Didn't get no tip or nothing (feel like Walmart did tho). I felt like I was volunteering (for ~2 hours). NEVER AGAIN!!! If I were someone else, I can see how that would deter them from EVER driving for DoorDash!

Aryk Sanchez honestly no. I start at metro center. I go out mon-fri 5pm-11 some nights I make a lot $60 but not very often. It's usually around $25-$35...I will say the best lunch shifts I worked were central phx. I started at 10 and worked until 3 and maken$75 and the next one I made $80

I got one where it took them 40 minutes to come out. But then I ended up getting 2 at the same time, they were for 2 different customers at 2 different addresses. One was a pay out of 7.54 and the other was $6. I had another last night it was to be picked up at 18th ave and bell rd. Delivered to 45th st and paradise valley way. That one was for $10.81 I declined because the distance was too far. So I have not had any good luck with them

I had one and never knew door dash delivers walmart groceries. Wait was long. Order was not ready walmart associates advised me she had to contact the customer to see if they were ok with substitutions. Then delivery distance wa s not ok and into an area I knew was not safe. Unload all these bag, case of water. I don't even carry a case of water in my own apartment. I take a few out at a time. Plus person acted like she could not tell me the color of her house. Goggle map stopped me at the wrong end of her street saying I had arrived. They can keep this. They need to offer way more for delivery for these orders and all of a sudden could not reach doordash about the order delays. Never again.

What’s your advice to someone who got their first one star ? I’ve only done 11 trips but I had a very unfortunate event and it’s kind of putting a tank on my spirit I haven’t gotten an email or anything but I don’t know I’m just nervous what’s your input ? Thank you

Steafan Steinocher - Don’t let it get you down. Since you’re just starting out, they know how it can easily effect your rating when you get a star. Things happen and that’s normal but you need to stay positive and keep working hard at delivering the best customer service you can. When I got my first bad rating it dropped me down a lot. I pushed past that and learned from that experience. I hope you do the same! Keep crushing it Steafan and drive safe.

Hi . Newby here, I signed up in Delaware. When I download app I see all the dashes are in pa about 30 plus more away from me. My area looks like 8 - 18 - 18 say coming. I know my area very well but pa I'm very unfamiliar so should u wait couple week dash come here ? Idk .. I may go up pa to the one area I know a little about..

jessica n - Congratulations on signing up! My personal opinion is to just wait since it’s only a couple of weeks. I believe you get started in a place you don’t know well, that would just stress you out more and you may give up driving for DoorDash over that experience. Do yourself a favor and continue to watch videos on KZbin and learn from others experiences and mistakes. If you have never used your phones GPS, I would practice using Google Maps to get comfortable. Hope that helps. Thanks for commenting.

I have done two Walmart orders. One was good. One was horrible! The good one took me 20 minutes and had about 3 bags of groceries. For 11.00 The bad one took me 45 minutes and I had to drive to really far away with a ton of bottled water and bagged ice! I had to unload it myself at a business and take it into there break room. All for a whopping 8.00! Walmart orders are a big risk. Save your rejects for Walmart Doordash orders!
