Started Door Dashing on Monday for the first time and your videos had been motivating me a ton to get out there! Unfortunately, on Tuesday, I was finishing the day at 18 trips, $120 and was heading home, and got T-Boned and spun 180 degrees by a lady with a suspended license running a red light. When you are looking for orders do you drive around or do you sit in one spot ?

Never stop, remember that your working, keep moving, go to the restaurants of course, if after 5 minutes going around the restaurant nothing pops, then stop for some minutes and then keep moving if you don't get an order.

Select hot spots that are common and popular well known and used restaurants. Usually in the process of going to a Hotspot you'll pick up an order going to or passing. If you stop at your Hotspot location then I suggest sit or drive the parking lot if nothing in 5 mins head towards the nearest Hotspot. I usually don't sit that long before I pick up on there's no orders chances are other door dasher completed the deliveries for that area. I know for me by the time I'm heading to the Hotspot I'm getting an order and getting either another heading back to a Hotspot or as I get to the Hotspot. I've sat at a Hotspot for 10 to 20 minutes just to see how long it would take, I figured out you definitely gotta consider the other door dashers because the have ones that schedule them selves and anytime dasher. Dashers that schedule themselves you kind of can't cutting in on them a anytime Dasher or free Dasher dashes anytime but if you get enough Dasher scheduled those hours or times slots you try to dash are filled and you'll get not busy or moderate busy and get a certain amount of orders. I'm not say you won't get them busy pace for anytime dash I just get that thats one of the reason for low pace orders. I always free dash like 4 hrs if its busy I stay dashing if it slow ill break for like 4hrs 6 and go back out it usually has pick up and dash like 4 to 7 hrs. Plus traffic is way less complicated 🙃

Word! I dash in central Illinois pay isn’t anywhere near as good as the mega metropolitan areas lol , lots of no tip orders barely any +2$/mile mostly 1.75$/mile especially since the base pay change.. 😒

Bro door dash used too be going crazy now every order is 2 dollars and they make everyone insecure about acceptance rate. Why give peak pay if all that money will eventually equal to a higher base pay just increase base pay and take out the reduced base pay.
