What the majority of the average public fails to comprehend is the amount of training it takes to become reasonably effective with handguns. The slightest fault in technique/control causes a rather significant shift in accuracy, even at short ranges. I personally don't rely on the statistical likelihood that my opponents will be less trained to guarantee my success.

Black cat is the only person to ever receive a successfully replicated dose of the super serum that gave Captain America his powers.* Or in other words, she is on Captain America's level. (*At least in the 1994 cartoon series). But yes, the fact that she is sometimes a villain and sometimes more of a hero complicates knowing if you should actually fight her.

I remember a book series where the character encounters that same problem. If you want to be a super hero or a villain you need to have an answer for guns. Though I'm pretty sure guns are way more dangerous than media gives them credit for.

I remember people omplaining about the end fight in Birds of Prey where the mobsters didnt have guns until the end and i was just like 'yeah no shit, unless you are bulletproof or fast enough to dodge bullets then guns always have to be forgotten' heck Batman vs Superman had Batman be shot in the head during a gun fight, thankfully he was in a bullet proof cowl that somehow protected his neck from the whiplash. But guns just wreck so many supers.

We acknowledge it is like Unraveled, but we call it an homage and title the series Unraveling, and really lean into the community's in-joke (I hope it is a joke) of Kyle always being sleep deprived. honestly this is part of the reason I appreciated police in my hero acadamia, they are honestly the most prepared and coordinated law enforcement agency I've ever seen in a super hero universe. They work with superheroes for the guys too big to take down and for smaller threats their non super officers wear body armor and carry full auto guns that are shown to be very effective. Plus they use mechs and drones if they get really worried. They took their job of gauging threats seriously.

Yeah, setting this to the First appearance for each villain makes sense- they get up to so much shenanigans in comics that, if he was matching to the most recent version in the comics, then the only ones he could SURVIVE a fight with would be ones like the tinkerer who just got forgoten so they don't have decades of training, inventing and other powerups- And Kyle was fair enough to not just assume he is getting the drop on them, or even meeting up front- ie the chameleon is a master of disguise, and wouldn't be easy for kyle to find in the first place. I would argue that he should rank Mystrio as more dangerous on the same basis as Chameleon, but Mysterio isn't going to be going around trying to bamboozle the average person, unless it is part of a plot against spiderman, ie unless he is already hiding with an illusion, he isn't going to be hard for kyle to deal with with a gun, and he is arrogant enough for kyle to have plenty of opportunity, so even if he ranks higher then 10 it wouldn't be much higher. Honestly Kyle's odds are pretty fair on the premise that most of these people aren't expecting a random guy with a gun, and he fairly elevates several on the basic idea that their experience would prepare them for that. Kyle is kind of screwed because Spiderman basically hits above his known weight class- compared to the other big name Marvel heroes, he tends to be more of a local new york guy, but he gets into crazy fights, and the package of mid to high tier, strenght, agility, durability and his spider sense and mobility make him really potent, especially when he can leverage his intelligence- to go along with that, his villians have to be able to deal with that, so its not surprising that the one off villains are deadly, because the early villains mostly became recurring ones and got more powerful, skilled, and better equiped over time, and the later villains have to be in a similar weight class to that to be a credible threat. Basically I could see Kyle easily beating plenty of early age comic villiains- ie see the tinkerer- if he just ran into them while having a gun, but spiderman either doesn't have alot of villains like that, or they are too obscure for Kyle to find. I also love his reaction to Jackal, its what the guy deserves- well he also deserves Kyle's scorn for his actual comic actions but his mockery will do for now.

This was especially great to see right after having seen another conversation about how lucky the Avengers are that so many villains just want to take down Spider-Man rather than go national, because in most other circumstances they're terrifyingly dangerous but Spider-Man pisses them off so much he makes it look easy.
