from the floor 2 trailer there is a scene with guiding light underwater. most people are suspecting it to be a new death screen but i think it might be an opening cutscene since you're underwater. a kind of hint as to how we got here.

i believe this implies the hotel is just floating in the void endlessly. there's random doors to the vacuum in the backdoor, and the hotel is literally just floating on an island. it isn't too hard to make a theory when it's in your face.

0:28 mistake: It was the very first area to the right in the hotel that was The Hunt event.They recently extended it to have this area and a stairway down. And so the area that this particular area was previously in,was now converted into a whole other area with barricaded elevator doors and 2 closets.

The boarded off part of the lobby u showed at the beginning of the video might end up being where the floor 2 elevators will be. Also just looking at the lobby now from when the game first came out I love how it’s evolved. It’s gonna be really cool seeing how it grows as we get more updates and also change with progression in the game. If that area I mentioned is for the floor 2 elevators it would be really cool if you would be stairs or a a really bare bones elevator that took u down to to a new hub that would have all the floor 2 elevators with new music too.

I honestly didnt knew hotel was above sea untill now. I have few theories about this game(Probably not accurate): Your character is a traveller that punishes bad people and monsters and wards them off from innocent people in random worlds/on a specific world. Your character just happens to be very far away from his/her own home and it started raining. Your character needs a shelter so your character found this hotel to stay. Except, the bad souls/monsters planned and straight up possessed this hotel to get revenge on you. Your character somehow fell victim of their trap even knowing something is very wrong here and for some reason, none of your character's powers work here. Now this is the time your character can't fight back, but escape. Good souls(guiding light or others) helps you on your way so that you can escape this almost endless monstrosity. Luckily, they only infested this hotel with their souls but didn't remove any objects that your character would use as advantages. Good souls just moves objects you can "hide in" on a room when something is coming to kill your character or just guides your character to save him/her. Every door you open, bad monsters tries harder to kill your character.
