Thank you for yet another excellent, informative and entertaining review. It was pleasing to see your loyalty be recognised pre-departure - a nice touch! Having experienced a couple of generally satisfactory flights with Virgin in the last 12 months, I agree about the quality of the ground offer and the difference a good crew makes. That said, I wouldn't dream of paying £3,000+ for what is a fairly average Business Class offering - I'm really not a fan of the inward facing seat, the food is generally ok (but no better) and the wines (excluding LP brut) are below average. Charging extra for all wifi services just feels like 'nickel & diming' and really should be included FoC for premium+ passengers. Premium + points + tax upgrade (when availability can be found) would be slightly more acceptable. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Thank you for yet another excellent review - timely as Mrs B and myself are scheduled to take a Virgin flight across the Atlantic 👍😀 It is always pleasing to know the Clubhouse and on board crew retain the excellent reputation we have come to expect of VS and these of the reasons we continue to fly with the Airline. Whilst Mrs B welcomes your vis of the duck option, I still cannot fathom why VS do not offer a plain food option, so concur there is room for improvement here. Finally, congratulations on your Million Miles achievement 👏👏

I thought BA old Club World seats were poor, but these VA seats are awful. Facing in, lined up like coffins, have to get up to put seat into bed mode, high ticket price, cheap wines. The real plus points were the wonderful lounge and the food/FAs. Very good video - love the directness/succintness.

Oh god theses upper class cabin seats are super old! Similar in Trukish airlines Business class seats on 777 and 330's.

Are you a member of PAMs? This video is rather functional as if selling an air fryer. I was fortunate enough to experience the PAMs level of customer service (I flew LHR to SFO every 3 weeks) and Virgin Atlantic was life changing (door to door) so I encouraged all my team to fly VA (sadly never had the opportunity to take advantage of the events as I was working - except for the awards night). I did however experience exceptional customer service and crews who loved life. Sadly what I did notice over the years was the cuts - from a pillow in the car, celebrations on the bar, on board treatments, lounge treatments etc Sadly Virgin Atlantic has lost its USP (slightly better in all areas) and is now just one of the bunch as your video demonstrates. Such a shame.

I took the same flight (in upper class) earlier in 2024 and found the service terrible. Most of the upper class cabin was taken by the crews’ “hang ons” and they had no interest at all in serving paying customers. I only took the flight because I’ve been so disappointed with BA, but after this flight it’ll be a while until I chose Virgin again.

Another great honest insightful review I agree with the food comments isn’t as good as a few years ago also the snacks / bar / loft area have been poor on my last 2 upper flights , on my recent flight to lax I booked the new product but a last minute switch meant I was on this product which is very dated although crew are always great virgin do seem to have lost there sparkle ❇️ my flight back from USA on the new product was ok but cabin was very worn already …. Food was not good , had no cappuccino no biscuits in upper 😮 I got some from premium myself .. but the lovely designed wander-wall never has things placed out no just a box of mixed snack thrown in one corner also on flight back no drinks or anything out not even in fridge

Some flights are already on the A330-900’s. On the day I flew back, the second flight, which started on another island before stopping at BGI was on a neo. Sadly I was on the first flight on an A333

​@timmanc Virgin flies all it's aircraft on this route. You just have to check at the time of booking. I flew both the 787 Dreamliner and A330 Neo last winter season.

The Upper Class sit design is horrendous. I’ll be flying the Premium Cabin in about 100 days to Africa. I do hope I enjoy the in-flight service.

I have read that but on the Africa flights they only use the 787 dream liner. I am considering upgrading to premium from LHR to JNB. I am thinking about upgrading to Upper Class on my flights home. Thanks for your review.

I never flew Virgin Atlantic, they are starting service to Canada main City of Toronto in March 2025 so might get to fly with them to the UK . I always visit barbados a few times a year however it's always on Air Canada 🇨🇦

I didn’t use the Wing because I didn’t arrive by car. I don’t have a place in Barbados, I just like the island and spend a week or so there each year.

The seat area looked pretty tatty and tired the food looked ok but presentation was poor, and as for that cabin/seat layout that's apaling. I certainly wouldn't have paid £3k for a return trip
