This couldn’t have come at a better time!! My brain feels disgusting. When I have stuff do that I really don’t want to do I’ll bargain with myself like,” if I get my oil changed, I can go get a coffee.” But lately, none of it hits the same as it used to. Im also thinking about getting a trac phone but am hesitant. Thank you for these suggestions, I’m definitely going to have some changes to make! ❤️

Thank you Sara. This came at such a helpful time. I have been struggling with marjuana for almost ten years. I smoke in the morning, afternoon, and before bed. And tbh I hate it. I’m definitely addicted to the instant gratification I feel. Today is the day I’m going to stop.

So that is why my letters to London haven’t got to you. I’ve been waiting for a new PO Box but it all makes sense now. I really hope you get a PO Box soon because I’ve been watching you for coming up to 10 years years almost when you used to video doing gymnastics everything and we have literally been living the same life, but from different continents and from a different perspective. It’s so crazy to have a soul sister tie with someone for that long. I’m so thankful you’re still doing KZbin💜

If you happen to see this, thank you, Sara. It felt like you were speaking right to the very core of me. For ages I’ve been feeling like some of the things on the list you read + beyond are siphoning the joy out of my life, things I don’t even care about. What perfect timing for this video. You are such a gift ☁️💕

I completely agree. The same way people moved from KZbin to Tiktok - more instant gratification. I've found myself reading less and less because some books are slow-paced, and that rubs my brain the wrong way lol. But I've deleted most social media and I'm excited to see how my habits change.

This video is soooo IMPORTANT! I am in the healthiest and best relationship, but I need to confess that I am addicted to social media, especially TikTok. In the last year I was influenced too much by all the couple videos and relationship videos on social media that I had the feeling my relationship is not good enough because it is not like the ones I see all over the internet. And it got so bad that I was thinking about breaking up! And then I recognized that I was the problem. My relationship was healthy and happy and I was just comparing it to the unrealistic standards because of this dopamine problem I had. Still trying to figure out how to quit it completely but since I hat that epiphany I view my relationship sooo different now and am so happy again!

This is what a true spiritual/religious person is. The Holy Bible teaches this ever since the book of Genesis. The Source Creator/the I AM tried to keep us ignorant of Sin/evil, e.g adult content, self-indulgence. The Holy Bible is a wonderful book that teaches everything that Sarah speaks of/spoke of on this video. The Holy Bible is not only spiritual, but it is scientific, historical, prophetical, philosophical, a perfect guide/instructional book. Be blessed

Hey Sara, loved this video! I enjoyed hearing your perspective and agree with you that we should be cognizant of all that we consume and considerate of how it affects us. Have you read about epigenetics and inheritance? Our environment, the stimulus we receive (and input) throughout our lifetime, changes us all the way down to how our genes are expressed! And can be passed through generations. It's of utmost importance that we are careful with what we let in to our body and mind. Yet its still hard for me to get it right lol, I fall deep down the rabbit holes too. Learning about the darker parts of reality only to find absolutely no one wants to hear about this stuff in my personal life lmao, and it just ends up being a mass of traumatic content in my mind. Which is a bit intentional i believe too with 'conspiracy content', like there's even an agenda to get you fixated on all the many lies (all the conspiracies that are true or contain kernels of truth) that construct our reality and burdened when other people cant see it through from your same perspective. This has been a hard pill to swallow! Music and concerts were big for me as well, I truly get addicted to songs and listen to them on repeat. Never really considered the lyrics I was committing to memory, the frequencies I was subjecting myself to, etc. And wow, there is nothing like the energy at concerts, everyone chanting the same lyrics, a band youve been waiting to hear live, the buildup from waiting through lines and an opening act you dont care about lol, it totally felt like a drug! Ephesians 6 12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." For sure, I believe we are in a spiritual war! Every corner you turn, there is massive effort to entice, enchant, entrap you in snares that may even feel good at first! Snares of the mind to capture peoples' will and make us complacent with an empty, hollow-graphic excuse of reality. An inversion of who we innately are. But all this just reinforces your message, and this is actually empowering to know that we can choose what we consume. We can choose where we put our focus and there are many incredible parts of our lives to focus on ❤ Much love from Arkansas!

Isn’t working out delayed gratification? If you want to lose weight or tone up you don’t get the gratification (result) after 1 work out. You continuously work towards it because eventually the results will come right?
@sarakyoutube

You are 110% right. Thank you very much for leaving this comment, what went through my mind was something that I personally experienced. As you mentioned, it took me years to gain muscle as a gymnast, the day I noticed just how much I had transformed, it became a bad habit of me wanting to get even more bigger, more stronger. I felt like my brain stopped releasing dopamine because my expectations started to exceed what I was experiencing. Then working out became a “job” I had to finish as opposed to a joyful hobby. I have also hear stories from different people where they start to become hyper-fixated on their end results that they stop noticing the small progressions. For example people who turn to steroids or just working out till their body starts to shut down. I think while taking notes for this video I was too focused on the negative aspects of things as opposed to seeing the whole picture. I thank you again for leaving this comment, I never want to come off as thinking working out isn’t a form of delayed gratification because it certainly can be and is. 🌸

Recently Its been helping me to think how nature seeps into everything... the phone you use is imbued with the same spirit of nature it just looks metallic and feels cold. So in a way the internet is such a new and choatic facet of nature, with paths of both serenity and of sudden storm, dopamine is the ship without a sail which needs us to guide it. Almost like the child inside I guess. Or an aspect of that. I loved what you said at the end about the colours. I think it is interesting that going monochromatic mode can lower dopaminurgic impulses. Nature has such beautiful, like you said, loud and subtle ways to make us want to keep watching the real world. Puppy mode activated I guess lol. I really hope you have someone to back and forth with and if you don't I volunteer as pen pal

I’ve been following her for years, her makeup videos definitely got her the subscribers. She brought something to the makeup community many other people were scared to bring and that was actual skin texture, acne, music she enjoyed and her own opinions on the world around us. Which most KZbinrs will not do for fear of judgement or being cancelled etc… her makeup videos became less frequent and i do think in general youtube videos (rather than shorts) are just becoming less and less popular. Literally due to what she’s talking about in this video. People want something new and different every 30 seconds and Sara has stayed consistent in her passions and her content. Oh well. I admire her and have always loved her videos where she talks about her opinions. If you scroll though she used to have a ton of views. Most of her subscribers are from years and years ago. She gained rather quickly
