Dopamine is an organic chemical of the catecholamine and phenethylamine families. Dopamine functions as a neurotransmitter in the brain. Dopaminergic signaling is associated with reward-motivated behavior and motor control with dysfunction of the dopamine system leading to numerous diseases👍

correct me if i am wrong but erectile dysfunction is a consequense of the antipsychotical inhibitory action in α receptors and not directly related to dopaminergic pathways. (same explanation why low bloodpressure can come as a side effect)

I’m confused. I heard somewhere else that dopamine deficiency causes psychosis in schizophrenia. So why would you give someone an antipsychotic which decreases dopamine if lowered dopamine causes psychosis?

Hi,can bupropion and olanzapine be taken together? Considering bupropion being dopamine reuptake inhibitor
@olly3058 ай бұрын
yes if needed. they work in different neurotransmitter sites. Buproprion deals with norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitors and olanzapine is a 2nd gen antipsychotic that works on Dopamine and some serotonin receptor antagonist properties.
