I am the person who always says "maybe later" "maybe tomorrow" but then I realized that if I don't make my move no objective will be Finished. I play games in between to get my boredom away.

Bored is simply a mental response to needing new stimulation. Getting started on a project is a perfect way to do that. I haven't been bored in over a decade. There's a lot of life out there.

I was planning to build a resort in the Philippines (for something to do in my early retirement more than for income). I agonized over site plan, architecture, room layout, roof angles, and every detail for years. Even after I understood every detail of the construction I had trouble getting anything actually built. Without my wife to "manage" me into action (always in a round about way) it would never have been built. To me it was painful to see each building go up because it limited the possibilities. It still bothers me a little, years later. Managing a business on a day-to-day basis interests me for about 30 minutes a day. The rest is somebody else's responsibility.

I feel that. I know that at some point in my journey I'm going to need some help because I know my eyes will be focused on the next thing.

I feel that. I've been embracing needing more breaks lately and getting some entertainment in or switching gears for a bit. Life can't be all work all the time.

I reconize myself so much in what you say, I always tell myself I should do more guitar arrangements, then I figure out the main stuff, like I have pretty good idea of where I want it to go, then comes the boring part, actually writing down what's in my head in a music sheet.. If I have ever manage to get past that step, then I have to actually build the muscle memory of what I've written down, again boring, then I have to play and record, I get a bit of creativity on the recording part, camera angles and the actual video/sound making. Overall the process is boring lol. Therefor, I have 28276162 half done songs in my head, that I improvise over most of time, useless though because I cant bother to write em down and actually play them perflectly lol.

I think one of my biggest problems in getting things done is i just seem to be really slow at doing anything :( I suppose deadlines could help, but then life becomes just a case of trying to hit (and often failing) to hit deadlines. Particularly if they are self imposed ones.
@TheINTPProblem

That external accountability is so important. Especially with someone we can't easily dismiss or someone we don't want to disappoint. Moving is a matter of improving your skills and process over time. Things will always move slow at first but finding the right tools will smooth things along. Don't reinvent the wheel if you don't have to 😎🤘💜 We cover this in our workshop. I hope you'll join us 💜

DOPEamine I get it thanks, it’s just really hard sometimes to find that and even then it seems a bit artificial, sometimes it’s great cause the project has that build in automatically but other times when it’s more personal, it’s harder. Also while deadlines do work, they don’t feel nice for us INTP’s, so having to many of them can make us miserable, it’s a way for us to force ourselves into acting out our plans, but it’s not something that makes us happy in the long run. I feel like we are very flawed when it comes to this, it’s for sure a huge downside of being an INTP.

It's a challenge but like you said, too many commitments is part of the challenge. Manage those commitments. Big goals and project require deadlines, not tasks. Tasks are more about giving yourself the time and space to get it done at your pace without the self-judgment of not moving fast enough. I know it's hard but it's not as Hopeless as it seems 💜

I think it’s the darting around with techniques and possibilities that slows things down. Doing a single thing directly, you’re probably pretty fast. Having other people around causes us to hone our directness.

It can definitely be tough to focus. Make sure you secure the parameter and give yourself time to think. I like having a fan on, music or some other low hum to keep me focused. And if you have multiple projects don't be afraid to jump around.

I like the birds. If you're INTP, you're an intuitor, not a sensor, and it shouldn't be too hard to filter out extraneous sound to focus on someone making a rational argument!
