Lemme do it for you 1. Learn photoshop and illustrator basics (typography/design/blending modes/layer styles/selection all that stuff) 2. Do any basic 3-5 hour after effects course on KZbin, this will only teach you upto creating animations using the graph editor 3. Make a minumum of 5 full minutes total of different animations using just these skills 4. Learn parenting in AE, masking, mattes, shape layers, motion paths, the trim paths tool, keyframing in more detail, various types of keyframes 5. Now use these skills to make 5 full minutes of animations 5.1 At this stage, if you spend a lot more time on making projects for free for other people and creating a good portfolio of client work, you can probably land an internship or a junior level job 6. Refine your timing and spacing, learn about animation principles, read Disney's book on animation, learn about concepts like anticipation/overshooting/followthrough, make a ball bounce animation, learn about squash and stretch, eyetrace, any other advanced videos you can find just watch them 7. Again make 5 full minutes of animation using these things Now you have a lot of paths available: You could try character rigging using something like DUIK, check out plugins that look cool, 3d animation using cinema 4d, learning about expressions, improving your workflow using hotkeys (VERY IMPORTANT), making complex animations, doing large projects etc.

Nvm. I don't know how I got it but I deleted the grid layer and double click on generate grid instead of dragging and dropping. Then the corners showed up.
