The moment I saw the watcher at the funeral I knew for sure it was a historic deal, not only for the universe but for us too. The watcher only appears when historic events happen, (and We all know the classic death isn’t permanent trope in comics) but this time I’m really wondering if Odin will stay dead, because the watcher is there and he’s only really used when universe changing stuff happens.

This was sadder than I thought;but it got a nice chuckle out of me realizing that it's not just Odin's voice coming from beyond the grave like some hallucination, but the fact that he had nowhere else to go because no one was waiting for him in Valhalla.

I've always loved Donny Cates' Father and Son themes in his book. Here, Thor doesnt hold back the truth of who Odin was. He admits Odin was a lot of negative things. But he also admits despite all those things, he was also a kind man who loved others. Even though his language of love was complicated. Its something all sons have to deal with when it comes to their fathers. Understanding their contradictions of the man that raised them.

The funeral, and the eulogy had me choked up a little bit. It was a fitting end to a great character. I really feel that Thor's refusal to launch the arrow was due to him knowing in his heart that his father was not at rest. And the fact that his soul is harbored in Mjoinir. I do like the fact that the two have another adventure, and Hardy Boy mystery to solve together. I am curious to know, did Angela know that his soul was unable to find rest when they reassembled the hammer? 🤔 Great broadcast, SQUAD UP!!!

besides that, book being marvel legends comics, that end was wise it's not due to Oden filling in for the Storms absence; Oden was like I will not be in the afterlife alone; it did not seem like he was dejected. One thing that is awesome about Thor comics is there is always a disturbance.

Can someone explain Loki's timeline/branching timeline because I'm struggling to keep up. As far as I was aware, Loki died and was reborn as Kid Loki, echo/ghost of original Loki took over Kid Loki and killed him, he then aged up as Ikol right? So how are there currently two Loki's in the present? One as the god of stories, the other at the funeral. What have I missed?

This is the opposite of what i wanted Marvel to do with ODIN. The AllFather ODIN needs to be brought back to his Silver Age of comics power levels & become King of Asgard again. ODIN is the best & THOR stories have more freedom when he is not mainly worried about a bunch of characters that no one cares about.
