He mentioned "The one with pretty horns was a foul brew of black magic and Jotunn's (Frost Giant) blood." giving him "the squirts." Which seems like just the kind of parting gift a trickster god would give something that ate them.

He had a good run in ultimates but that dude is so powerful that he seems to only be invoked during something major like galactus and then he disappears until the next writer figures out what to do with him. I feel like his character is cooler than Hyperion and low key better than the sentry if we’re talking Superman clones.

Browsing the comments of several of your videos I see many people agreeing that you are The Best at this explainer format, but not many people delineating why. For me, your cadence is natural, your information is concise without a lot of superfluous tangents, and when you editorialize, it's done with confidence/without defensiveness. Unlike with the other channels in this format, I can actually retain the information you impart and therefore keep up with the comics I can't afford to read right now. Thanks. :-)

DopeSpill just tells the story. He'll put some commentary in there, but it's still about the STORY - not HIS opinion/philosophy on the story. I love the HELL out of this long-form format too. Just telling a whole arc at a shot. I LOVE putting one of these +hour long videos on and hearing one helluva story being told. The flashbacks, time jumps, and pointless filler BS that comes part & parcel with comics gets left on the cutting room floor, where all you have is the story distilled into it's purest form. Being inter-connected is great & all, and there's SOOOO much depth and lore to all these characters, but a LOT of that feels like these big story arcs have all these useless tie-ins - or on the other extreme, ones that are better than the MAIN story - to sell more comics. DopeSpill tells the best stories, not the stories that sold the best, or are the most well-known. He removes that which is unnecessary, until your left with nothing but the pure story, and I am HERE for it.

Hulk knows a version of Hyperion when they were both Avengers before 'Secret War' and Tony Stark made Banner a member of the Illuminati. When Banner rejoined the team, he was able to access information about the current members, so it's only natural he would find out Hyperion's human name is Mark Milton. Not to mention, he has faced the Hyperion in the Squadron Sinister. The Hyperion on the Avengers team was the one that fought the Beyonders with Thor and later killed Namor when he formed his own Squadron. He was last seen in a relationship with Thundra.

The most a cape writer can hope for is that they write a comic that makes people go "That was Aaron level". And that is simply because competing with a talented, possibly crazy author who genuinely loves the subject is not possible for someone who is not all of those things. Most cape writers do not like cape comics. They are cynical or morons, quite often both, and would prefer to write other things. He doesn't. He loves capes.
