Doppelmayr Transport Technology - MGD-M "Cerattepe", Turkey - English (2017)

The Cerattepe underground copper mine of the Turkish Eti Bakır A. Ş. mining company (a member of Cengiz Holding) is situated in very mountainous terrain approx. 3.5km southwest of Artvin, a city in the Black Sea region in north-eastern Turkey. From there, the ropeway transports the ore into the valley over a distance of 4.5km across steep, wooded terrain. The incline is more than 43° at the steepest point. The ropeway can also be used to transport backfill material from the valley to the mouth of the mine. Furthermore, the Cerattepe ropeway allows for the combined transport of material and people. Apart from the material buckets in which the ore is transported, the system will also be equipped with some passenger cabins. In these cabins, the mineworkers can travel to their workplace comfortably and in safety.

Подземный медный рудник Cerattepe турецкой горнодобывающей компании Eti Bakır A. Ş. (входит в холдинг Cengiz) расположен в очень гористой местности, примерно в 3,5 км к юго-западу от города Артвина на северо-востоке Турции. Оттуда канатная дорога доставляет руду в долину на расстояние 4,5 км по крутой лесной местности. В самом крутом месте уклон составляет более 43°. Канатная дорога также может использоваться для транспортировки насыпного материала из долины к началу шахты. Кроме того, канатная дорога Cerattepe позволяет осуществлять комбинированную транспортировку материалов и персонала. Eine interessante Lösung. Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, sind das die ganz normalen kuppelbaren Klemmen, nur das dann am Bügel keine Gondel oder ein Sessel hängt, sondern ein abgedeckter Kübel für den Transport des Erzes. Was aus dem Film leider nicht so genau hervorgeht: wie werden die Kabinen für den Personentransport an der Be- und der Entladestalle vorbeigeschleust? Gibt es da nach dem Lösen der "Material-Gondel" vom Seil jeweils eine Weiche, mit der die Personen-Gondeln um die Be- bzw. Entladung herum fahren können?

Hallo! Ähnlich wie bei einer Kombibahn, nehmen die Kübel und Kabinen in den Stationen unterschiedliche Wege. Die Kabinen fahren auf einer kürzeren Schleife an den Lade-Bereichen vorbei.

On the website, it is stated that the cableway is powered by a 414Kw drive motor? Could this materialseilbahn not be powered by gravity alone?

I don't think so... Look at 1:43, It also takes material up the mountain. And you can't really control the speed if it's just gravity powerd.

Hi Jonathan! This cableway does not only transport ore downwards, but transport landfill upwards as well. And it can also take mineworkers up and down the hill in passenger cabins.
