The 1950s saw a plethora of films made in the 3D process including horrors like ‘House of Wax’ and ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon as well as the musical ‘Kiss Me Kate’ and the Hitchcock classic ‘Dial M for Murder’
In 1953 the World’s first 3-Dimensional colour advert was screened in British cinemas. Made for WD & HO Wills ‘Capstan’ cigarettes the film starred Dora Bryan and Brian Oulton. Directed by Ralph Thomas famous for the 'Doctor' comedy film series.
