LED diffusion so there are no ‘hot spots’ in the backlighting.

Your panel was awesome but cost is always a big factor. The old panel looked fine, just not as fancy. I rig my boats for fishing, not boat shows. I want them plain, and simple, and without clutter. The back light feature isn't always necessary if you have other lighting on the boat. If your gonna trash someone else's product (which is in poor character), at least look at all factors.

Cost is a huge factor. The customer paid a decent sum of money to the other company and received a product that was worthless. Backlighting is not always necessary, but it’s a great option to have. Need to see the switches at night? Backlighting on! Don’t want to see the switches at night? Backlighting off! All factors were looked at. The other company was not ‘bashed’. Facts were spoken. Bashing the other company would have been saying who the person/company was.
