Pt4 - Round #2 in attempting to fix the Lower portion of the epicyclic pulley, this time I find it's dirty little secret which had me chasing red herrings.

Is there a hardened steel washer missing from the thrust bearing ?

Hi Paul Only in the vid, I didn't see the need to put them on for testing purposes but they will go on once the mill is fully assembled.

Did you have any trouble reassembling your gearbox? It seems that no matter how much I try, either the bushes won't alingn or the gears won't mesh, is there any specific way of timing the gears or am I just unlucky?

Hi Pan That happens go me a lot when trying to put it together off the shaft. If you can't get anything to line up on the shaft, it might not have been machined very well.
