Dori Tunstall: Decolonizing Design Practices in Academia | Design division

Dr. Dori Tunstall is Dean of the Faculty of Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD University) in Toronto, Canada. An academic leader in decolonization and Indigenization of design curriculum and practice, Dr. Tunstall is also the first black dean of a design faculty anywhere. She holds a Ph.D. and MA in Anthropology from Stanford University and a BA in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Tunstall aims to prepare the next generation of designers with an understanding of the cultural implications of design, and the role of designer as cultural influencers.

Faculty of Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD University) in Toronto, Canada ALWAYS RATED 10 out of 5. Now it rates 3.8 out of 5. Most of the staff were born and raised in the USA teaching American History (slavery etc etc) in a Canadian school. They are not teaching anything to do with Canadian design because of all the DEI BS. As a Canadian, this ticks me off.

About 12:27 : KTZ did not steal the sacred design, its designer just imitated what they found beautiful, what they admired. This is how art works. This is called contamination, not appropriation. This happens everywhere.
