Context can change the word, 'their', to be singular, or referring to multiple persons. Because that is typically how language behaves. It changes within context, whether where it is placed in a sentence, or even to how it is said verbally. There is nuance. Also, if you really like Dorian's music, it seems interesting that you do not know, that they are non-binary. I found out rather quick, a couple years ago, when I first found them. Song titles such as, "Man to Man", and "Career Boy", and "Daddy likes", are some of my favorite songs from Dorian, back when they were presenting a bit more masculine. They go back and forth in their presentation, besides them stating themselves, on their own identity. Yeah. If you think it's stupid to use a nuetral pronoun for a singular someone, I'll tell you, it might be new to you, but it's not new to English overall.
