Is it a trend to have English vinyl stickers with text that's mirror imaged?

Its a japanese thing, and its been like that since the late 90s, started with drifting, where the decals and vinyls were cut ONCE by placing two sheets ontop of eachother, cuz it was alot cheaper, and u didnt have to mirror the programming, which was alot more complex than todays software. Usually the driverside (RHD) has the mirrored decals, but it can vary.
