Being a Montrealer is special. Very special. It's not something we really appreciate when we live here full time. Like anything else, we take her for granted over time. We're in the unique position to fall in love with her all over again every time we return.
One beautiful part of the city that is really close to our pied-a-terre condo is Parc Jean-Drapeau. It is a nearby green space that was expanded and transformed for Expo 67. There were too many unique sites in the park for us to visit in one half day trip. We take you on a bike tour of what we believe to be the highlights of the park. We unfortunately did not get to show you the Six Flags Park "La Ronde", nor did we see the Canada Pavilion or the small lighthouse to name just a few spots.
If you've rented a bicycle in Old Montreal and only have a half day to explore the park, this is a great itinerary. If you decide to spend more time because you've packed a picnic lunch, we encourage you to spend the whole day exploring both Ile Notre-Dame and Ile Sainte-Helene (Saint-Helen's Island and Notre-Dame Island).
