It's a treat to hear Doris in a more intimate instrumental setting at this point in her career. The smaller group suits her quiet delivery and sound.

Her hits are often accompanied by gorgeous full orchestras, as is the case with much of Frank Comstock's work, but this one is a welcome exception. There's a piano trio and understated strings throughout, and a slight tenor sax solo.
