Yes... her voice can certainly send you to that romantic sleepy lagoon. She really has that intimate, sensual, magical quality that speaks just to you. I find it amazing that these songs were almost lost to us. If her son hadn't found them in her garage and released them 26 years after they were recorded, we would never have heard these beautiful songs.

The talent of this lovely lady just mutes me; there simply are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe accurately what a phenomena she and her voice are.......this track is audible proof of what perfection she exuded . This was recorded June 6, 1967. But.. the recordings were "lost" - found by Doris' son, Terry, in her garage !! They released the Love Album in 1993. Thank you Terry !! Happy you enjoyed !!

When i first heard a Sleepy Lagoon, i was four times in a row...so dreamy, a silvering recording from M. Day. It is a waste she didn´t want to perform anymore in recordings or movies. I miss her!

She had another cd released in 2011 with a combination of some previously unreleased songs and a few of her favorites. But this was the last actual album she recorded. Hi Toni: I wish you read what Doris wrote in her page DORIS DAY TODAY in FB. It's a pity it lasted so Little., but it was an enriching experience as I wrote to her when she said goodbey because she was told to stop it for her own good.
