Pravila su se menjala te godine i dopuštene su matrice (do tada je orkestar bio obavezan), pa su hrvatski predstavnici ostavili prateće vokale u matrici, misleći da može i to, ali nije smelo. Na to se žalila Norveška tek posle takmičenja i zamalo su diskvalifikovali Hrvatsku, ali su na kraju dali drugu kaznu. To nije bio samo propust Hrvatske, već i organizatora. Ne verujem da je u pitanju bila zavera. Više mislim da Hrvati nisu proverili sva pravila, a da organizatori nisu rigorozno sve proveravali, inače bi se to otkrilo na vreme. Sada, baš da bi se izbegle slične situacije, matrice moraju da se pošalju mesec i po dana pre takmičenja.

Ne.. na matrici nisu ubaceni muski glasovi kao prateći vokali nego je to zapravo ubacen u matricu voice stlye kao sto ga imas odabrati na svakoj klavijaturi. A buduci da nisu htjeli da Eurosong 2000 bude u tako maloj drzavi kao sto je Hrvatska onda su im namjestili prozivajuci ih kako su u matricu ubacili muske glasove kao pratece vokale sto nije istina.

@@escfan2706 Nope..That year the rules have been changed ( first time no live orchestra needed, half playback,only with music was allowed) and Croatia thought it was ok with the back voice made by Synthesizer) but Norvay complained and accused Croatia that it has been a male human voice in the half-playback- wich was forbidden. Thus they were thinking about disqualification of Croatia but changed it into another penalty: they took away 30 % of the points Croatia got by votes. It was really disappointing because afterwards Croatia proofed that there was no other voice in the music playback- only instruments an a synthesizer effect which sounds like human male voice. Actually the win if Croatia was stolen because of false accuses.

They got a deduction because there was something fishy with their backing track. The EBU thought they heard human vocals in the backing track, but no, these were just synth sounds imitating human voices.

Croatia lost a lot of points with this song, because EBU thought that the the "Synth" in the chorus was backin voices which the rules said that you could not have. The backin voices had to be sung by persons on stage.. Too bad.. because it's a great song!!
