I believe that behind every piece of clothes, and every detail a piece holds, there's a story, especially pieces made before 1990s, and it is important and wonderful to know these stories, because it tells who we are and who we were, what history of a certain period was and how everything is related, for clothes evolved based on the surrounding circumstances. It would be amazing if you tell us through such videos every now and then on the stories behind each piece you have in your shop, or the ones that you wish to find, and the timeline of it's travelling from one owner to another and how it ended up where it is today, also how it transformed through time. ❤️

Thank you for sharing this stunning dress!! I wonder if it is the dress Gypsy Rose Lee wore on I've Got a Secret (7/24/1957) where her secret was 'I'm wearing a dress that weighs 28lbs'. Though the show is black and white, they refer to her dress as being gold and do weight it on stage to show it is 28lbs. Even if it is not the correct dress, the episode is worth watching to enjoy Gypsy Rose Lee's charm and humor.

Just looking at this dress, I can feel Gypsy Rose Lee's spirit and visualize her performing in it. She was an amazing woman. Not only was she the Queen of striptease, but was very intelligent, an author and she spoke fluent French. Her story from her early days of vaudeville until her death was very fascinating. Her sister June Havoc's story was interesting too. The movie Gypsy and other stage adaptations are only the tip of the iceberg.
