Beautiful ❤ Doro wot is a labor of love. I make doro wot for my kids birthday and hub’s bday every year and off course Holidays. It makes me so happy ❤❤❤
In my household my Habesha friends in Addis and in the countryside never used oil to make Doro Wot. It was always only kibe. That was very important. Making Doro Wot took 3 days. A few days before we had to go to the market to buy the Doro. Cooking and eating Doro Wot was a ceremony, not only eating. The Doro was cut in 12 pieces and 12 eggs. 1 Doro was in for 12 people and it was important who was given which piece.
looks like it was made with love. this is the first time i'm hearing this language, amharic sounds beautiful, it reminds me of arabic and hindi

Amharic is closer to Aremiac than Arabic! The writing system resembles Egyptian holographic than anything to do with Arabic..

There are many similarities between them and southern Arabians. Even the Geez script they write in is very similar to southern Arabian script.

Thank you for this wonderful cooking tutorial. I have ordered Ethiopian Teff flour to make injera and berbere seasoning powder from Amazon to make this chicken stew. I will definitely skim all the oil off before eating. I'm British born however my parents originate from Jamaica and Dominica. Last week i went to an Ethiopian restaurant in London and was introduced to wonderful dishes and injera. Once again thank you ❤ 🇬🇧

Thank you so much sister queen masha allah so b eautiful from somali 😍😍 l love Ethiopian family liked share
It’s a good idea to add Spices in such quantities - you can’t eat much of the dish, and the food will not sit in your stomach for too long making you fat. Great for dieting!

Brilliant! Have you ever thought about making a subtitle in English language? Because now days Ethiopian cousins are becoming sensational all around the world and people are very curious about it. My other suggestion would adventure yourself to Kind-power stadium where Leicester players tasting your food.. dream big ! I think you can do it. Be bold and ambitious!

@@zedkitchen It’s my pleasure! Small businesses generate money very quickly, specially foods because people eat food all the time. With those delicious foods you are making, I think you should aim for restaurant. If you put time and effort into it, nothing will be attainable to you.

1. Diced onions in oil till they change colour 2. Local spice berbere (guage it to ur preference of spice) 3. Stir constantly and let it cook for some time (hours) 4. Add little hot water when u feel like its sticking to pan 5. Add garlic paste 6. Add a little bit of local spice called mekelesha 7. When cooked well add tomato paste (home made preferred) 8. Add clarified ethiopian butter (it's spiced) 9. Add water every now and then to gauge it to how thick or loose stew u want 10. Lightly toast the washed chicken and add it to stew 11. Add hard boiled egg lastly
