honestly whenever I play an orc warrior I don't see myself as a blademaster, just a grunt smashing things with whatever happens to be available (usually an axe)

That is another way to do it. But really many orcs are grunts and I understand since people roleplay 1 character they think he has to be super unique but in reality rp society is like any society not everyone can be great. :D

I sort of disagree with the statement that there isn't a lot to mention about Humans being warriors. First off we have Anduin Lothar, Lion of Azeroth and Supreme Commander of the Alliance, he's considered one of the greatest warriors of all time. Then you also have Danath Trollbane and Ignaeus Trollbane who wrecked Trolls like nobody's buisness and of course the current High King, Varian Wrynn who spent a good deal of time as a gladiator and was held in respect by the warrior races of the Horde. I think when it comes to warriors, Humans are the most versatile of them. They are likely to be more agile than the Orcs and the Tauren, but not as physically imposing as either. They are probably capable of more brute force than a night elf, due to their stocky build and vrykul heritage, but not as agile as them in turn. The way I see a Human warrior besting any of the stronger or more bloodthirsty races, is keeping his cool (like the passive ability Warriors had called Deadly Calm) and fighting around the advantages and disadvantages he has against that particular adversary. The overall strategic and calculated mindset, along with a controlled amount of force is probably why Humans have been able to send Knights and soldiers against the Horde during the First and Second wars, without getting *completely* smashed.

You make very good points. People tend to assume that all warriors are the same, but their culture affects drastically the feeling of your character, and often even your choice of spec. It often boils down to what exactly you're fighting for? Are you a rage-fueled berserker hungering for vengeance? Or are you a calm, knightly and stalwart defender? Things like that.

I think you've been boning warriors in your past videos, this one included. Warriors have a lot of potential especially in a PvP stand point. You could've mentioned warrior factions or armies, veteran characters, the warriors natural affinity for tactics and strategy. Even going over feats of strength or power from famous warriors like Saurfang and Varian. The potential for having a warrior that was once a paladin but lost his touch with the light has always been a cool concept. I dunno man, I get that it's just a simple guideline but you've always sounded so reluctant when you talk about warriors or humans.

Would've been prudent to mention the gladiator styles for the orcs, as they have always been tied to arena combat. They have trials by combat and challenges of authority by combat and it's generally gladitorial.

A tiny tip for those strong orcs and tauren among us that wish for a two handed weapon and a shield: use Fury wield one two handed weapon in one hand and a shield! fitts well and not breaking anything if IC'ly your character is strong enough to hold a huge ass weapon! love those videos! Cheers!

What i think is warriors use some kind of titan magic when they thunderclap and other things like that. You just can't deny that they use magic when they fight. edit: just the players mostly, because we are awesome. Npcs are not titanborn like us!

robert martinez you can't expect every warrior to be as amazingly strong. lorewise, many have shined because warrior population is much higher than any other class. ofcourse, you can always RP as an orcish veteran of all the 3 wars(kinda like broxigar) which gives you instant respect status. although you will have to be shameful of yourself for surviving through all the wars.

As an immersion geek myself I'd like to add sth about short warriors. If I roleplayed one, I'd be wielding a single 2h weapon with longer reach, to compensate for my short arms(and legs). So going arms and picking a 2h weapon is a great choice for shorter warriors. Even gnomes and goblins that lack the physical strength of other races can take advantage of that tactic, sice wielding a 2d weapon with both hands requires less strength than wielding a 1h weapon in a single hand.

Can sand gnomes be an idea to roleplay? While I get its unconfirmed whether we see them native (tons of titan stuff though I can't say from the ruins where it all starts) in draenor it would be an interesting concept for an advanced warrior or native warrior from the same race. Kinda like roleplaying an orc or human from a different kingdom.

Also, you fail to realize that WoW humans aren't the same as humans irl. WoW humans are descendants of vrykul, with ridiculously exaggerated muscles and a long history of badass orc pwning warriors such as Varian and Lothar. They're at LEAST as capable physically as the orcs.

Spradley Sprúggorson No they are not, that is an in game thing. Not all humans have exaggerated muscles, neither do the orcs but we do know that they are naturally bigger and stronger. But not all characters are as they look in the game.

Doronsmovies The physical capability of humans and orcs are both an in game and in lore thing. Azerothian humans have been shown time and time again to be able to go toe to toe with orcs in books, cinematics, questlines, etc, even if we completely disregard magic. You can look at the first war and second war and notice that orcs were steamrolling Alliance ranks, but that is due to the enhanced abilities granted to them by Mannoroth's blood.

You're placing too much emphasis on size, and disregarding human strategy. As for strength. I'll concede that tauren are most likely stronger, although if we look at lore as a whole, there's really no reason to claim orcs are stronger than humans.

Not to mention, you never mentioned worgen in this video, who have been shown in quests to be easily capable of leaping large distances and snatching medium humanoids by the neck.

Spradley Sprúggorson The orcs live in a tribal society which forces them from a young age to fight. There is a bunch of evidence in Rise of the Horde or in any mention of the orcs, such as the Lords of War. You can see that they have built in bloodlust that they try to suppress in order to stay normal and that they can handle a lot at a very young age. Also there is no way you can compare a human and a tauren in strength just like you can't compare a goblin vs a dwarf. Tauren are a lot bigger in the lore and a lot of them are well over 3 meters and around 500kg, and a lot of them have huge muscle mass as a genetic thing, just like a lot of animals in the real world are naturally muscular. Obviously Varian Wrynn against an average tauren would be in favor of the humans, but if you lined up an average human soldier and an average tauren, they would be no match for them. A 180cm human can't beat a 3m tauren that is about 2 meters wide. It's the same case of ogres being stronger than the orcs, they are just bigger, may not be as agile but the only way orcs defeated the ogres was either in packs or if they were very skilled.

They are cool warrior too seeing a super bad ass armor on a little dude is cool. If you're an RPer you can even justify is super strength with is armor. The mythic tier 17 is perfect for that with the spinning shoulders, it looks like medieval iron man suite lol

i say it literally all the times and noone fucking believed me. FUCKING HELL BEST WARRIORS ARE OBVIOUSLY ELFS OR DREINEIS BCS THEY ARE OLDEST RACES AND THUS HAVE LITERALLY THOUSAND YEARS TO PRACTICE AND MASTER THEIR SKILL OF COMBAT TO INSANITY. yes orcs or taurens are physically strongest, but art of combat is far from being just strong. true masters of combat knows that its about using your brain and body in combat and using stuff like environemnt to your advantage. its not about just having big muscles, true masters of swords are the ones that has years and years of experience behidn them. and you can see how insane can be poeple that practice with swords for 20 years. imagine 10 thousand years of practice. its a fucking insane, with that amount of time one would be able to push their body into physical limits and sharpen their skills into a fucking godhood.
